What did you do today non-detailing related?

I drive about 1000 miles a year too because I work from home. My cars have very low mileage.

Re: Installed some Conti DWS06's on the RedSport

Sharpened the mower blade.

Sold my Model 3. Driven only 1000 miles in the last year due to working from home.

It went to a great Tesla family.

Used car prices are crazy now. Didn't think it would actually sell but supply is low and demand is high. Especially for trucks! Check Vroom and Carvana if you have a truck and want to flip it.

Really wish I had that with the lines at the gas station. :) Actually, I just really wish I had one. :). One of these days.

Mowed the lawn. First stripes going that direction this year. This was before edging the driveway as well.

So satisfying. :D

I do crop circles at my house. Either starting at one corner of the yard or pick a feature (tree/rock wall/etc) and radiate from there. You can go weeks without repeating the same route, and it makes for a neat pattern in the grass.

Do you use a blade balancer to check it afterward?

I bought one of these quite a few years ago, (cone type), and I really like it.

I use my motorcycle wheel balancer to balance my lawnmower blade (and many other things too).

Well, I don't have a motorcycle.

Thanks, John. Now I have an inferiority complex..........:laughing:

Added a splash of color on the paddles
I have a manual so these are only for turning Rev matching on/off

Dug through my phone and couldn't find any pictures. I'll try to remember to grab some later this summer.

It reminds me a lot of the patterns you get with spirographs if you ever played with those.

So one Honda in the garage wasn't enough so I did a thing.....

Good friend and nieghbor was about to put up their one owner cream puff for sale and knowing my daughter starts driving this summer I decided to show her the vehicle and she likes it. It's ours now. 2010 Honda CR-V EX-L Trim, loaded with leather, sunroof, heated seats and more. Only 65k miles and always garaged and very well maintained. New Brakes and newer tires too! Owner is a private plane pilot and dealer and a fellow 2A advocate who cleans his guns to perfection. Gotta love OCD people. Not the cleanest looking here but it's spring and they were about to sell it so the last few weeks have been a bit off for them in terms of that.

Looking forward to turning this Polished Metal Metallic (medium brown) back to like new and getting it to really sparkle. Should be a fun transformation inside and out. Stay tuned as this will happen mid-June or so.

Does your son still drive that Jeep Cherokee?

Oh no. He was never really a "fan" of it which boggles my mind....but then, he's 17 not 51. LOL! I sold it back in August of 2019 via auction for nearly $11k. Hated to do it but it's with a good owner in Houston, TX now.

Oddly enough.....he's content with the Corolla. Even then, he doesn't love driving or cars. Young boys aren't what their dads were back in the day it seems. Lots of his friend could care less too. My daughter however wants to go places and is itching to drive. Mom has a little CUV and she likes that idea of copying her. Not to mention, this one has lots of little "toys" that to her mean more than to my son. It's funny watching kids grow into adults. We can influence them but only so much right?

... Owner is a private plane pilot ...

In my experience - Private Pilots make for good folks to buy cars from. Any we've had at our shop have been among the best for doing all the maintenance the car could need.

Congrats on the new ride! And awesome to hear your daughter's into it. :dblthumb2:

Like you say - you can't pick what they're into but I'm optimistic my daughter (currently 6) will be into driving. I'm optimistic though as she already looks forward to when the summer tires go on the cars. Best was when she was a toddler - my wife had picked her up from daycare and was driving home when approaching one of the corners my wife hears "Do fast turn?" from the back seat... :D
