Mille arrival - any new updates?

I believe it's pronounced "Mill-uh". There was a video of Mike Phillips at SEMA, And that's how they pronounced it.

Wow I wouldn’t have ever guessed that... I think Mill sounds pretty good. If I get 1 someday It’ll be referred to as Mill.

here's an interesting comparison of both who haven't seen it yet...

Just watched this video- he makes some good points about the two tools pros/cons.

I would, however, disagree with his assessment of noise. The drive mechanism on the Mille may make a tad more noise than 3401 (haven't noticed), but OVERALL noise of the Mille is less. Mille sounds more like a jet turbine - Flex has a more high-pitched noise.

I will comment too, that venturing outside of the Rupes system, the Mille (IME) is not as finicky with pad suggestion as some have suggested. Will non-rupes pads generate more vibration? Possibly, but there are a host of quality pads and liquids that make for a refined Rupes experience even apart from their system.

Microfiber works ok, and wool pads like the LC lambswool with blue foam interface work incredible. B&S Uro-Wool work well too, just a tad more vibration. Oh, and a second vote for CarPro gloss pads! They're butter on the Mille!

User fatigue with Mille is less and user experience is great!

I followed him for a while as he had an Infiniti Red Sport, but damn that dude talks way way way too much. He's like the guy from Ammo who can go on for 20 minutes on how to clean a window. You tube vids like this need to be 4 minutes max.

good point lol, the obsessed garage videos i stopped watching because of this and his voice puts me to sleep. it's interesting to hear him say the flex is more aggressive and the mille takes a little longer to correct (about 15%-20%) and is a little noisier in the drive mechanism. also mentions that one is not a replacement for the other...

I too own both and trust me he has it the other way around as many here who currently own both or have moved from the 3401 to the Mille will state accurately and factually the Mille corrects 15-30% faster than the 3401 and does it quieter.

Also did you miss 80% of the part of the video you posted where the Mille is ergonomically better, smoother, cooler running, safer, more comfortable and the machine that gets the nod?

Which of the 3401 or Mille do you own? Howmany hours with each you have under your belt? I have a couple of thousand with the 3401 and around a thousand with the Mille and seperate truth from internet fiction with real life experience. I personally use to think you were a Griots/Flex fanboy but it is clear as day you are just anti Rupes to the point where you will advise anyone and everyone to go with anything, even inferior just so you can steer yet another one away from Rupes. Its like you have a sick obsession and I am shocked Rupes has not requested you to have a permanent ban and that Autogeek allows you to constantly directly and indirectly bash the most innovative polishing tool company in existence.

Your behavior has done no favours to Griots and Flex either as your constant punting of them along with Rupes bashing has pushed many away from those brands. Personally if I was Griots I would have requested your ban before Rupes. I hope Griots is reading this as you are really hurting their brand image with your hate towards Rupes, its past embarrassing.

i recommend products that i have and use. i have had the flex since day one (when they first came out so i have plenty time with it. i'm not interested in the mille and i use to own a rupes lhr21es as well which i sold. if anything, you bias towards rupes is no different in which you think anything other brand of tool is not as good/equivalent because they don't "make it" in some cases which is absurd. also, that flex 3401 is no longer valid (and obsolete) just because the mille is out? please. both flex and griots have a great reputation in not only having great tools/products, but also taking care of the customers too. perhaps you should look in the mirror because others have noticed your posts as well and you aren't doing much of any favors yourself to many. i'll just leave it at that...

I punt Rupes because it is a reputable brand with great customer service and I amongst thousands of others stand by the brand through personal experience. I punt Rupes more now as to counter the likes of you as you have been constantly bashing the brand for years, recently more so in an indirect more discreet manner so as to hide your hate which is even more transparent now more than ever. I will say it again, you come across more as a Rupes Hater than a Griots and Flex fanboy.

lol, flex and griots are both just as reputable and back their products 110%. no hate in any of my bones/body, i am absolutely one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. the whole bashing/discrediting a company because they don't make their polisher is ridiculous among many other things you say which i know many don't agree with including myself. you come across in ways which can be described as a hater yourself...

Not faulting you as a person, I don’t even know you. What I do know is your unjust behavior towards Rupes. Take a chill pill and atleast try and not sneak in Griots at every chance you get just so as to spite Rupes. I just said what many that agree with me wanted to be said. I could not hold back any longer and am done with the subject.

please take your own advice (and behavior) and try not to knock anything that isn't a rupes (making other brands seem inferior and not worthy). yes, many/quite a few agree with me on this two way street...

Visitor is 100% a hater. Apparently he had a problem with RUPES because years ago, before we were a USA company, he had an issue with a RUPES product and didn't get adequate support. RUPES USA has apologized. This is why he has bashed our customer support, despite the literal 1000s of post that state the opposite. This is why he shows up on RUPES threads and takes passive aggressive approaches, or finds anything that helps him fight the little war he is losing, no matter how obscure.

How do I know the back story? Because Dylan offered to call him and find out what was with his bashing. He claimed to have called, publicly stated he called, claimed nobody called him back, and said "he didn't have anymore time" to invest in trying to resolve the issue. Dylan looked up the phone records, tracked every call for 2 weeks, and couldn't find any record of Visitor calling despite his public proclamation to the opposite. Dylan called him, and found out the above information.

Apparently time isn't an issue, as I can almost guarantee Visitor will be on any thread about RUPES, trying the best to fight some clandestine war. His motives are fairly obvious, and it seems to pain him that we are growing at a crazy rate, we have built a factory in the USA, we continue to lead the way in innovation, we are hiring more and more Americans. Think of all the time invested, and wasted, but we all get pleasure from different things.

Most the time he is so obvious that it is entertaining, and I appreciate his efforts to "remain under the radar" despite the fairly obvious failure in doing so.

Again, while I am not 100% sure on the details that transpired 4-5 years ago, before RUPES had a USA company, and when problems could get lost in translation, we are sorry that they occurred. It is one of the reasons we knew we had to build a USA-based facility, with customer service reps and take warranty repair in house. We learned from the early issues, and now customer service, like our innovation, and holistic manufacturing is beyond approach.

todd, the point being is if you respond to someone from the beginning keep responding and don't leave them out to dry despite trying to resolve something long after. it's okay and i like and use other polishers that do the job just as well even if you think they aren't as good as your's. there isn't an only one option that is the best but a variety in which someone can explore and get from point A to B in the same way. no war started, just letting people know that there are other reputable brands that are just as good...

You are free to use what you want. Don't move the goal posts and shift the focus.

My point wasn't about what you use and why you use it. It is why do you constantly show up on RUPES threads and push other brands? If you want to talk about other brands, that's awesome. There are a lot of great brands out there.

You are not just "letting other people know" what's out there, you are purposely trying to derail and inject on the threads specific to RUPES. I don't care, nor do I read any other posts you make other than the ones that so happen to appear in the RUPES subsection.

Your game is obvious and I've bitten my tongue long enough.

if someone wants to know about other products and there is mention of another brand of tool (or asking/inquiring about one), it shouldn't be taken down like it's not as good or inferior know matter what thread it's in. not everyone wants brand A polisher when they may like something about brand B's specs that does the same thing among other key factors that they want to know about. i know many members feel the same way in this regard...

There are literally 1000s of people on here with 1000s of posts about other products. Curious that I don't have a problem with any of them.. smh.

The fact you are trying to spin your obvious and flagrant behavior into something other than a thinly-veiled vendetta is beyond me and frankly speaks volumes about you.

You show up on RUPES threads and passive aggressively post things with a clear purpose, which is not the betterment of mankind or the flow of information. Please don't insult my intelligence or those who have called you (but not other people) out on this way too many times. Your agenda is perfectly clear and people would probably respect you more if you would just state it out loud.

Instead, shifting the goal posts is the behavior I would expect from somebody who claims to make phone calls they never did, yet posts that they did, in order to make a company look bad....
