^^^^I’m in the same boat. But my cars are not AGO clean that much either these days. But I agree with coatingsarecrack that I should clean mine as well. May even do it today.

Yeah i think my cars would see not much ch love if I was working on cars for pay.

I had a customer who built 3-5 million dollar homes and showed me pictures and I asked if his house looked as nice.

He has a fairly decent double wide on a nice plot of land. Asked if he was gonna build something like the pics and he said at first yes. Now though he’s comfy where he lives and there’s really no need.

Looks good and I like your method.
Exactly what I do a few times every winter to get it sparkling clean....although usually 5 miles later, it's not clean anymore.

So I've been home since yesterday (Covid and I'm fine, enough about that) and I'm going stir crazy! Since it's 40 degrees today and I haven't washed my car since last year, LOL, I took advantage of it!!

So let's talk about the 1st new product I used, TWHS Hyper Foam Tire and wheel cleaner. This product worked for me EXACTLY like it has for the reviewers I've seen test it. It began to "bloom" immediately! I let it sit and then used my 4 brushes and rinsed, came out perfect

For the next new product it was a brand I have limited but great results from...Bilt-Hamber. I have Auto-Foam and Touchless, I decided to try Touchless today, their latest product. I poured 4 oz into my IK Foam 9 w/1.5 gallons of warm water. Now just to play it safe I did a section at a time and rinsed with the Worx hydroshot because I don't wanna mess with hose. Even with my limited pressure for blasting away weeks and weeks and weeks of snow/dirt/muck/salt/road film it did an AMAZING job!! The lower panels showed that light coat of dirt leftover from a pre-wash but remember my car was CRUSTED in salt AND I only have the Worx hydroshot here. In the pi s I posted you can see the "crap" melted away by Bilt-Hamber Touchless, I've never seen anything like that and I've tried/used CarPro Lyft too.

I expect great things from these 2 products when using them in my Griot's Garage foam gun and using a garden hose which just has more power AND volume than my Worx hydroshot. Also based on what I've seen today, 2-3 days of dust will be laughed at by these 2, so it's going to be foam, dwell, rinse and dry this spring/summer/fall and even when the car is dirty from driving in the rain it's going to make quick work of that but I'll still do a contact wash though.

Now I wash going to do a Feynlab WW but it started to sprinkle but as I post this the sun is coming out and I might get back out there and finish the job properly, after all it looks like I've got Blue ride competition now and I've gotta maintain my 1000 coats

Update… it just rained/sleeted … there was a 40% chance of snow with no inclement weather the rest of the week so I took the chance… did not pay off.

At least I still have 3.5 gallons of ONR mixed up and the high for tomorrow is above freezing (last time for the rest of the week). If the roads are dry by tomorrow afternoon I’ll do another rinseless wash.

Side note: there was AWESOME beading on the paint when I just went out to move the car into the garage. I gotta think that’s the Meg’s HCW I put on a couple months ago more so than the GG Speed Shine I just applied today, right?

Part Duex:

So I went back out there with my trusty Blackfire hand pump sprayer and about 5 DPC Jacks and designated tire/wheel mf towel to finish things up properly The Feynlab WW made VERY quick work of things because the Bilt-Hamber Touchless did ALL the heavy work, the only real dirt dirt on the towels was from the underside of the sideskirt!

When done I took one of the used Jacks to wipe down the jams and finished up with a spray and wipe of the tires and wheels, didn't need it but it's what I do. I'm not adding any dressing to the tires because I wanna see how they look when/if they dry

Now that's what I call "Covid Clean"

Honestly it's your LSP and that would be the Speed Shine, great product that's been around for decades. Once your bottle is low, try the Ceramic Speed Shine...you'll love it

Speed Shine is definitely my favorite quick detailer that I’ve tried so far. I just didn’t think it had any protection in it, so that’s why I thought it would be the Meg’s HCW causing the water beading. But I suppose it would make sense if it was the SS, especially since it was just applied two hours before and the car wasn’t moved.

I’ve heard that the CSS doesn’t wipe/flash off as well.

My experience is 180 degrees opposite of what you've heard. I've been a Griot's Garage customer since 2005 FWIW.

The wipe off issues people have couple be humidity, an LSP that doesn't play well, possibly the towel not being clean and/or contaminated

I haven't used that glass cleaner and not sure when I will because I have a 500ML bottle of CarPro Clarity that has about 20% left, a fresh 1000ML bottle of Clarity and the TWHS Glass cleaner to use up first. Clarity isn't cheap and I'm trying to use that for the inside glass because of my tint. That said Griot's Garage has never let me down, I'm sure that glass cleaner isn't going to be the first

Good to hear that it works well at 2%, which is the recommended minimum. Did you go through the whole 1.5 gallons?

I didn't do the math because I suck at math so you apparently figured that for me, so 4 oz to 1.5 gallon is 2%. While I've got your attention what's 2% in a 32 oz container for my phone gun from Griot's Garage

I didn't use the entire container, so I've got some to use up next time around or add some fresh mix to it I'm looking forward to an even cleaner 2022 with these products

yeah, 1.5 gal is 192 oz. 2% is a 32 oz container would be 2/3 oz but if that's the foam gun you connect to the hose, it would end up diluted down from the water from the hose. there's some videos (forensic detailing, etc) on calculating panel impact ratio for using a pressure washer. that would be similar.
