What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

aa29b6597e41dfcaa02efe23e533cb44.jpg

Did a full wash with Reset followed by Poorboy’s World Strip Down followed by Optimum Paint Prep. Used the rectangular applicator pads this time to apply. Much more even application. I like using them. It did get a bit wet an hour later, but I confirmed today that it only technically needs 30 mins to cure.
I looked back a page but couldn’t find what you applied. Details man! :)

Oh yeah I didn't realize that I left that out haha. I reapplied Hyper-Seal using the applicator this time.

Removed the right rear wheel on the Explorer ST & gave it a clean, also spiffed up the suspendies a bit. May get ambitious on Saturday & do the other three....
Forgot to get a before pic of the wheel, but I figure you already know what that looked like...

Liking the new jack-jackstand combo, gonna buy a 2nd one:

That is a cool jack. I don’t think it will fit under my Acura TL but if it does, I’m buying a set of 4. I’ve been thinking of the Jackpoint Jackstands but they’re a little more than I want to spend for a set of 4. Then again, I’ve got some low profile ramps that would probably get those under the car. Hmmm. Thanks for sharing.

Placed a 7 item order with Griot's Garage this morning using a gift certificate my girlfriend got me for my birthday yesterday The Fast Correcting Creme I'll be using on her BLACK Cruize hatchback, it's HAMMERED I'm glad she heard me talk about how long I've been a Griot's Garage customer, 17 yrs and counting

I used the fast correcting recently on the wife's white car with scratches behind the handles (from previous owner who must have had claws) and it made short work of those. It's probably the one minor detail my wife ever noticed after cleaning her car. I made up my own hand polisher (think polishin' pal with Griot's pads) and will hopefully only ever need the FCC for hand correction of light blemishes. Decided to give it a go after seeing another member use it by hand on here.

The leather spray can be a little overwhelming. I wouldn't even say it's a bad scent but after doing my seats I wanted to not be in them for a bit. I'm wondering what your additional leather scent will add to it overall. I also like their versatile interior quick detailer.

Happy Birthday Klasse Act! Mine is today. I have my eye on some of those Griot’s Crinkle Glass towels. Just got to see how the Ceramic Glass Cleaner did shedding water off the windshield yesterday and it was pretty good, especially for the ease of application. Better than the Glasspro Coating I’ve used on several of our vehicles.

I've been using their leather scent, as well as vanilla scent (have to ask for it these days for some reason) since first dealing with them and it smells great! I'm sure their interior detailer is great but I've been using TWHS Inside Job for a couple monthes and been blown away with it, I mean it's really THAT good and I expect to see this 2nd wave of TWHS products in the stores soon

The promo card that my girlfriend gave me says I get a free 3 and 1 ceramic wax maybe I should call them and see if I qualify and they can add that to my order

Too tall, needs about 9in clearance. I haven't measured the SB Honda, but the Camaro has around 6in clearance.

Happy birthday fellas!

The explorer ST is looking good. When do we get the full exterior pics?

Did the other three corners of the ST & the large plastic valance under the front.

Today the buick went from trashed to respectable...bout time! Lol

Gave it a quick foam and rinse with 3D pre soak before Installing new rear struts, rear sway bar links and a new serp belt this evening.

Then while it was on the lift i gave it a good pressure rinse of the knooks and crannies of the undercarage.

Afterwards i did a bucket wash using 3D pre soak. Some of the pics i tried to channel DBF... gave a few "action shots" haha.

Then after i dried it, it got a wipe down with 3D bead it up.

Also gave the interior a wipe down with adams interior detailer and quick wipe off of the seats with griots leather 3-1.

I feel much better even though it wont last long lol.

Side note, the lift i used is something i will for sure have when i get a garage. It was so much easier not only when intalling new parts but for cleaning the car too!...it was so much easier on the back.

Must be the day for wheels, I was rotating the spare in, the tyre with the most wear out, and shuffling the others around. So while they're off, it's obviously time to wash them inside and out. Cleaned them with Bowden's Wheely Clean, hand polished with Scholl S20 Black, then put some 303 Touchless Sealant them.
