What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I like to buy the smaller/sampler pots since I like to try different products, doesn’t make sense for me to buy the bigger more expensive pots.

I have blue velvet, blue velvet pro, and black widow for the waxes and Red Mist and Future Armour for detailer/sealants...bought those on clearance, really like Future Armour!

I still like Dodo Juice, I first bought Blue Velvet back in 2010 to use on my Holden Commodore SV6, and Diamond White to use on my Mum's car at the time. I have Red Must Tropical somewhere on the shelf, and Born Slippy is still my favourite clay lubricant. I still have about a third of a large pot of the Blue Velvet left from my original purchase, I occasionally use it on my Mum's dark blue Qashqai.

That's my world as well

People who know what I go through with my cars only to have them covered in various types of stuff hours later ask why I just keep doing it

I honestly tell them "If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand"

It got the hose & a quick wipe down last night after I got "I'm not driving it to work looking like that, I'll have to take the Camaro"

Total lol

Fortunately I have never gotten that from my better half

Good luck brother

For those considering DoDo Juice waxes, go for it. I’ve mentioned on here how much I love their Orange Crush. It’s a soft wax though.

Why is this better than your Ryobi tire inflator? I only ask as I was thinking of getting the ryobi.

In the hack video he attaches this square unit to the side of the IK Foam 12 and he turns it on and it maintains a constant pressure, all you have to do is squeeze the handle and Foam away. It will hold a charge long enough to go around the entire car, tires/wheels/wells and underneath the car if need be without needing to inflate with the hand held Ryobi.

That said, I'll still using my Ryobi to maintain proper psi in my car and also if someone needs air in their tires (I don't keep it in the car during the winter because I'm worried about the cold hurting the battery) The Ryobi is a great air compressor because its hand held and the battery does last a long time for my needs, get one Crack

Impulse Blue for the WIN!! :dblthumb2:

I decided to clean the exterior glass tonight, with cooler nights returning, were seeing heavy dew over night, and water dust spots drying everywhere. Cleaned with Angelwax Vision, and with the earlier talk of Dodo Juice, I decided to apply some Red Mist Tropical as a glass coating, everywhere except the windshield.

I've also noticed some webbing from one of the wipers, annoyingly only on the downward stroke. So I took it off and cleaned it with a product called Rubber Roller Restorer, it removes contamination and the rubber feels like new. I then coated the blade with graphite powder, which you can see all over my fingers in the picture.

Dammit! Was gonna get the Dewalt/Ryobi because i can get it with some reward points but now i gotta get one of these.

Would love a review when you get yours set up

Well I didn't buy the exact same air compressor as the one in the review but I did see the same one on Amazon. Mine had great reviews and cost more initially but the sale made it an easy choice. I just gotta figure out how I'm going to attach it, those magnets seem like a good choice but I think I've got some good velcro strips in my junk drawer.

I will be doing a full review once I get the IK Foam 12, attach this mini air compressor and use it on the ES

Finally working on cleaning these seats. Seems to be a few more spots I need to go over again. We'll check them later today once they are all dry. Still need to do the rear.

Then I'll start working on the paint.

I took possession of my brand new IK Foam 12 today. It has a number of features over the Foam 9. For starters it holds more product/water but the guy from TRC in his video said its best to not max it out, so I'll probably load it with 1.5 gallons. Next it has a more sturdy base. Moving on the handle is made of metal, better quality. There's a pressure release valve that you can lock instead of having to hold it and once done, it just goes back to the normal level. Furthermore the wand has a holder which keeps it neat and finally there's a built in Schrader valve to pressurize the system...NO MORE PUMPING!

Sunday comes the day to use it with the mini air compressor to maintain the psi and not have to stop and re-pressureize it. Ofcoarse I had to try it out TONIGHT, so I took my WeatherTechs out and cleaned them.

I pressurized the unit which didn't take long with the mini air compressor and it didn't take too long, things pretty amazing. It worked great and the WeatherTechs came out great. I'm letting them air dry and I'm going to apply the WeatherTech protectant to them.

Is it Sunday yet

It was the Qashqais turn today, Bowden's Wheely Clean on the wheels, 2B wash with Carpro Reset everywhere else, dried with After Glow, put some Autoglym Tyre Dressing on the tyres. Finished off with Angelwax Vision on the glass.

It's been about 3 and a half months since it was waxed with Dodo Juice Blue Velvet, the first pic shows the water beading nicely on the hood, this is just the first rinse, before the wash, but I decided to put some Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical on it anyway. Only about a quarter of the bottle left, so I thought I'd try and use it up, and it's so easy to apply.

So before I re-installed my cleaned/conditioned WeatherTechs I vac'd out the interior of the ES and wiped down the entire interior, seats included, with TWHS Interior Detailer. I still love Inside Job but wanted to keep this in the rotation for sure. It was 9 degrees while I did this but probably 10 in the sun, LOL

So I just got done adding velcro to mount the mini air compressor to my brand new IK Foam Pro 12. I also added some stickers too, so those should add +.5 PSI

Tomorrow I'll be taking this to the quarter wash with me to test it out "officially", although I did clean the WeatherTechs yesterday, tomorrow "it official".
