What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I realised today that I got some overspray from doing the engine bay with Hyper Dressing yesterday. I couldn't just fix the one spot, so all the trim got some.

Last Fall I found out my neighbor is behind one of the stubby nozzle options (ApexAire) for the Ego blowers. Looks like the reception has been mixed overall but small world to find out the neighbor is into detailing enough that he's inventing products in his garage!

Yeah it sells through My Obsessed Garage. Seems a good guy. Total overhaul of the product due to customers not being happy.

Changed entire build and due to changes not allowing old to be compatible with new attachments he’s switching out. Coulda easily not have and chalked it up to redesign. I hope it becomes a brand for him.

He's pretty meticulous about things from what I can tell so I'm sure he took it as a challenge to improve on the original.

I'm still all about the PFM towel drying but I might just have to take him up on his offer to try his Ego and the nozzle one of these days. I don't have a coating so didn't invest in Ego but still curious how it compares to other blowers I have for the common drip areas.

I was too busy looking at the car, I missed the birthday mention as well. So... Happy Birthday

I turned 50 back in 2020, right as Covid was starting, so it gave me a good excuse to say, NO PARTY, I hate parties, and people.

I really like the colour combination with your wheels. Very classy.

4 Hours today of fresh air. Maintenance wash on the ZR2. Finished with TWHS Flex wax as a rinse wax. Escape got a good wash and interior. Tired. It is indeed MILLER TIME now!
 
Had some salt/film on the car. Loaded the SPTA foamer with Griot's foaming surface wash and headed to a self wash bay. Had the same thick foam issues I had with the Griot's Snow Foam and the battery died before I finished the car. The battery's on me. Soaking part of the nozzle now in APC to hopefully help with the foam consistency. The car is cleaner now tho.

You may want to open up the nozzle as my IK Foamer had foaming problems due to dirt/film on the felt discs. Dirt/film seemed to be due to leaving the foaming mixture in the bottle long-term.
