What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

$235 regular price @ Home depot and it was on sale when I grabbed one $203
One good Sprinter job will pay for it though:dblthumb2:

First wash of the year, can you believe it? The car was unwashed since early December. It is SHADES whiter. Had to hit the tires 3 times to get the brown out.

In other news, the CQUK 3.0 coating I applied in July 2020 is still showing signs of life. I am thoroughly impressed; this car lives outside.

So I ran my work van through the touch-free wash this morning before heading out on my route, so no taking the EN through there, plus it wasn't that bad from pollen...or so I thought

It was enough that had me wanting to do a "pollen maintenance" wash after grocery shopping but before making dinner. All I did was added 4 oz of Griot's Garage Brillant Shine snow foam to my Griot's Garage foam gun and got after it.

The enclosed pic was from rinsing the roof down after a short dwell time, mind you I'm using the hose sprayer that came with the Griot's Garage foam gun. While rinsing it down there were initial beads and then those "micro beads" which just kept appearing after additional rinsing

Afterwards I just flushed with free flowing water, dried with a CG's large drying towel and designated mf towel for the tires & wheels. As much as I love RW's I just feel better doing THIS method when pollen is involved

I guess I was too close when I took the pic, sorry

Pollen gets into every nook and cranny and sets hard like concrete overtime,
So i agree needs a good flush with water.

Rinsless washed with an Absolute pretreat and ONR. Car was dirty so GD method. Hit the wheels and tires as well.

Griots Ceramic tire shine. Like it better than DarkSide so far.

I was going to a full foam - 2B wash, but I lost a couple of hours to a thunderstorm. So it ended up being just a foam and rinse with NV Snow using my Ryobi pressure washer. It worked quite well, check out the dirt that's running down the driveway, the Collinite 845 is holding up fine. I'm yet to see how well it cleaned the tyres, they didn't dry before it got dark, and it's raining again now. Finished it up by cleaning the pressure washer. I might treat it with something tomorrow, any suggestions.

Have you tried leveling Darkside down after a bit of time? I assume you don't like the sling and that's especially a NO NO on that beauty

Was there reasoning behind which was pretreat and which was for the RW? I've personally avoided absolute as a pretreat because I don't want to leave it in my electric sprayer.

I didn't like Griot's Ceramic - kind of like their Ceramic Glass, just didn't do it for me but to be fair, I need to use them again and give another chance. I found the Tire dressing to hardly last and the glass cleaner was not user friendly... but I'll try them again to be fair.

I prefer gels. For some reason it feels like the tire gels just apply better and last longer. However, do listen to CarPro with Darkside when it is suggested to use very little. I also highly recommend leveling it later (like 24hrs later if possible to not drive). I was sling city after over applying!
