What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

From last evening actually

4 oz of Griot's Garage Foaming Surface Wash and 1 gallon of water in my IK Foam Pro 12, love using this machine️ I also used Brake Buster and my 4 brushes as well.

The sap was glistening on the car prior to wash, I'm fighting this battle and I've got the ammo to do it

I thought about pulling further forward to get away from the tree but when I tried a dry run with my g/f's Cruze I made it no problem but I'm going to see how my 2 neighbors are with it...stay "tuned"

How well does Griot's Surface Wash clean as a prewash?

It took care of the sap, as far as a pre-wash goes, it's your average pre-wash product but smells GREAT

Got home from work a little early and decided to clean up the terrible weather we had yesterday

I parked across the street and did a Griot's Garage Ceramic Rinseless Wash, GD method with 5 Eagle edgeless microfiber towels and single designated mf for the tires and wheels, nice and quick and STUNNING results in this 78 degree PERFECT day

Now I'm about to go in and pic up my daughter and head home, what a BEAUTIFUL day

FNW...Cruze time

Luckily I've got "the good stuff" to battle my g/f's Cruze tonight because her paint has ALOT of sap AND pollen AND dirt

I took it through my touch-free wash because it can handle it but first a 4 oz Bilt-Hamber Touchless/1 gallon of water treatment was in order! In order because when I cleaned the windows w/ the squeegee I could feel the sap NOT all coming off, no worries though, Bilt-Hamber Touchless knocked it out

Once home I used my Ech2o mixed up a QD to clean her tires & wheels completely, I may "top up" her coat of Turtle Wax Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat, not brown at all, just a light sheen but IMO it's doing it job

Now it's time to relax

I should really tidy mine up as well. It's not very dirty, but the tyres have gone very brown. Cleaning it up might get me out riding more often.

Fireball sent me a sample of Nappa Coat, Pirouette and Glass with my order of Wax Off. I have been using Gyeon ID on interior lately as I prefer nothing on the interior surfaces. However I wanted to try Nappa Coat being it was a free sample.

Really nice product. Sprayer mists the product very well. It darkens the interior vinyl surfaces, spreads and levels extremely well. Leaves a dark matte non greasy finish. Adds Sio2 as well. Really nice product.

What you think of Pirouette? Peaked my interest while back.

The wife’s Buick got a brand new windshield. Even a new factory windshield has embedded contaminants. It required cleaning, claying, polishing, cleaning again and then sealing with Aquapel. The Aquapel directions suggest using a paper towel to buff the product off. There is no way a paper towel is touching my windshield.

I am very intrigued by the Nappa Coat product, I have never tried any Fireball products

I would love to hear your thoughts a month or so down the road

I got turned down for a job. A neighbor wanted her filthy (her word choice, not mine) Escape cleaned and I shot her what I thought was a fair price. She never responded. I'm sad now. I'm going to my room to cry.

My g/f's Cruze turned yellow overnight, so I took it right back to my touch-free wash and took care of it. Once home I topped up her tires with a single coat of Mr. Cartoon Tire Coat, stuff goes on soooo easy. Her tires had that "new" look, so I just added some sheen to them

We'll be taking it to movies later to see "IF"

Mother nature wasn't looking great last night so a last minute detail reschedule pushed our two main daily drivers to the cool-down moment for me after some early yard work. Yes, I like to play in water.
Suburban Dad Routine complete. Yard work done, cars washed, lunch made, and now onto a nice Bourbon evening and dinner with the family.

I think someone has a new favorite...

At least the Mr Cartoon name is easier to remember than TWHSGATSSC

Yeah I've always liked the idea of a true tire coating but not too many have come through with it. I mean Turtle Wax themselves had one over a decade ago and then it just disappeared. Optimum had one and most people had issues with it browning/flaking on the tires, yours truely included, I had to throw the bottle away, only after trying it on several different tires

The wife traded in her Bronco for a Black Telluride yesterday because she hates me. It was between getting a Black car or an electric one, I rather deal with a Black car than electric one so she brought this home late last night.

I told the dealer not to touch it and I cleaned it this morning. Coated the leather with Gyeon but didn't coat the exterior since it was rainy and very humid out. I will polish and coat it when we get a sunny weekend.

Nothing is as beautiful as someone else’s black vehicle…. Nothing is as satisfying as a fresh clean on a black car nor as sad how it looks 30 mins after cleaning.

Funny the longer the Broncos are out the less I’m starting to like them. Telluride though love the styling.

Wash time for the FJ, finally. First up was the tyres then wheels with TW Hyper Foam, I don't like it dwelling too long on the powder coated wheels.

Then a 2B wash with Reset using my new TW Super Thick Noodle Mitt, it worked well, but I did get some green lint stuck to the plastidip on the hood. I used an old TW Gorilla Glove to do the black trim, rock sliders, and inside the wheel wells at the end.

Dried using NV Boost V2, but I wasn't quite quick enough, there's some water spots on the windshield, which were too stubborn for this afternoon, so I'll try and remember to hit them tomorrow morning while there's still dew on it.

Finished off by putting some Meg's Hyper Dressing on the tyres, the first application got absorbed straight in as soon as it touched the rubber, so I applied a second.
