Stimuls check

Well a friend of mine may have C19. One of his workers didn't wear a mask saying it was all fake. Now ended up getting it and now can't barely get up because of pain. So he may havw given it to my friend and his wife my boy text me this morning an said he had to rush his young son to the ER cause he was throwing up. My brother got it kinda in the same way and he been in the hospital since March with breathing tubes. It's crazy cause I'm not sure and what to say to my boy because he is like me if anything happen to his son he will be like a bull in a china shop. (no pun intended).

Hey, I know you usually come here and joke around and keep things light hearted, after reading this I don’t think I’ve seen you type something so seriously. I hope everybody involved pulls through and gets healthy, especially your brother, almost 2 months in the hospital!?

O yeah my brother been in the hospital for a while. People walking around like it's all good. My brother didn't even go out like that. Someone else that said it was fake at his office got it and give it to him. My brother can't talk he is somewhat of a coma we are able to see him through video chat since no one can visit. I feel bad for my boy cause he know about my brother so his mind is all over the place cause his son about 3 or 4. I know if something happen to his son or wife he will go after dude like pit bull on a Chihuahua and he a pretty big dude. So I've been trying to keep his head right but he will be ok and so will little man. The sad part is his worker is still going out with it like it's nothing but yet can't barely hold his head up.

It’s quite strange how this is causing so many different issues in so many different people. Some are asymptomatic, some will have a cold/flu like symptoms, some more sever cold/flu like symptoms and worse. An example of this is, my wife’s aunt, uncle and their children all same house hold, all vastly different symptoms. They seemed to have fully recovered but her uncle might have lifelong medical conditions due to it.

I can see why some people might say it’s fake or it’s nothing because they’re the lucky few who are asymptomatic or might get some mild symptoms and recover a week or so later. What I can’t see or understand is why people refuse to help their neighbors, friends, coworkers, etc and keep some distance, wear a mask in public areas, practice good hygiene, cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze, stay home for a couple days and monitor themselves. I really just don’t know why people actually care so little of others..

This is very simple to answer.

It is because about 80% of people you encounter today are self-absorbed, me first, everyone gets a trophy (because there can be no losers in life), and I cannot be inconvenienced beyond a token effort, pieces of human garbage.

Sorry to be so blunt, but this is the truth I have encountered in my 50 years on this planet.

I'll add to what Paul said, even though he covered it pretty much, but we don't like to he told what to do! It doesn't help that our government still treats us like kids, the media sucks and therefore people are paranoid, doesn't hurt that noone can tell the news down the middle with a leaning but like America you have a place to go to get what YOU like to hear, whether its left leaning "news" from PMSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS or PBS or right leaning "news" from Fox News and, ummm, yeah...that's it for that angle

I mean if you think about it. Kinda acting like kids. That's like getting shot in the neck and then say well I don't want to do what the Dr says so I'm just gonna do what I wanna do the hole in my neck will heal itself. If the virus spikes again then everything has to be shut down again so all you did was just prolong what could have been shortened.

Then it's o I need to work so I want what I want now. Ok so being in a body bag is going to help your family a lot. Matter fact if I was the government and I was trying to find out how to take everyone out I would be happy because all you're doing is telling me how to do it. Ego will get you everytime.

The reality is that the two "sides" are now those who believe in science and medicine, and those who dispute science and medicine (without any basis or background to do so).

A great example of the consequences of that is what is happening to our state's medical director - she has been receiving death threats and there are regular protests in her front yard featuring idiots with their AR-15's.

Whenever I hear someone dispute the seriousness of this situation, I suggest they check out what happened to Dr. Joseph Fair. Infectious disease specialist who spent years in the Congo fighting Ebola and never got exposed. A few weeks ago he flew on a plane, wearing protective clothing, N95, and gloves. Still got infected with SARS-CoV-2 and ended up in the ICU for several weeks (now recovering). He, and other experts, believe he was infected with the virus via his eyes.
 
The people with guns in someone's front yard don't represent all of "us", us meaning my side of the Isle but the media would sure as hell have you believe this.

Not sure why everyone is making a big deal about C-19 anyways, it's a tired story because we're now right back to race baiting in our country with the news reporting the color of the offender and victims skin color first, I'm surely not the only person who's been noticing this phenomenon That said, the woman in Central Park....total idiot and wasted the time of the 9 1 1 operators time, surely there were "REAL" crimes being committed right then and there

What bothered me most about this piece of crap was her choking of that poor dog.

The man she was accusing of "threatening her life" certainly knew exactly what to do to expose her, and the truth of what was actually happening.
He didn't need any help at all, because he wasn't a complete irrational moron like she is.

She has apologized (which is laughable). And this man has been gracious enough to actually accept the apology. (He's a better man than me.)

She has lost her job, and had to surrender the dog she was abusing that had zero say in this whole ordeal. Good, and better IMO.

It's a reason why she did what she did and said it the way she said it while on the phone with 911. I had something like that almost 12 years ago but it was with a old landlord. I didn't learn this until after but one of buildings was getting foreclosed on. So paid my rent on the 3rd. On the 5th he came back in my shop demanding money for the following month and I told him no because that's not due and he better be happy with what he got. Next thing I know I was every type of N words. I'm somewhat of a hood dude so my first reaction was to jab him but then I thought about it before I executed that reaction and said no I remembered what one of my lawyers told me about that area that they would look for any reason to lock me up first. I didn't understand why she was telling me that when she was looking over my contract. She was a white lady and she was like Jay your not the right color for that area. Now fast forward to back. After he called me a N word a few times I told him God saving you so far but he won't be able to save you much longer cause I'm not far from rearranging your facial features. I told him point blank I'll even give you the first hit to make it easy I turned my back that way it's a easy shot. If you dont knock me out you better leave the country cause I don't have a stop feature once I'm activated I'm activated. He jumped in his car and left. Later that night he had all his workers park there work trucks in my parking spots that I pay monthly for. So I'm like o no you ain't gonna call me a N word and park in my spot so I had him towed all 6 trucks. So we talking about $700 per truck tow bill. (yes I am that petty) next morning they called the police. He played that whole he a big scary black guy and he don't feel safe. The older cop tried to look for any reason to lock me up. It took black cop showing up to be like no this is his spot he has the right to tow who ever he wants. So some people use cops as a weapon when it comes to African Americans. It's just a part of life
