Sounds like a nice place to retire. If you are going to be doing the work yourself id suggest a mini excavator, and a telehandler(8000lb or 10,000lb as they come with out riggers) can be used to set trusses, unload trucks etc. They come with a slue of attachments including a bucket.Sorry, not familiar with the equipment. I meant a backhoe with a bucket loader front. Decent size so I can put different attachments such as forks to unload trucks if necessary. Would be very useful.
I plan to buy about 15-30 acres and build a little compound of a house, garage, workshop, and several bungalows for the kids to stay at as well as any guests. Retirement place for when the time comes in about 15 years.
That would be my go to for that situation.
