DFB's Garage

I bought the second last bottle when they were on sale ($30) a couple of months ago, I liked it so much I went back a few days later and the last one was still there, so I bought that too. I've made a 1:4 diluted sprayer from that as well. It should all last me a couple of years at least.

I would happily move down there, but no-one else in my family wants to, it's too cold, apparently.

Did you hear that Tasmania is getting closer to the mainland?

Because Melbourne really sucks!

Just the one car today, the Ranger.

Wheels cleaned with AMMO Brute Wheel Soap, tyres scrubbed with Wise Guy. Contact wash with Shine Supply Shift. Drying Aid was a new to me product, Ethos Dry And Seal.

Dry and Seal is a hybrid of acrylic resins and carnauba wax, designed for use as a standalone product or as a drying aid. The product does need a secondary wipe with a dry towel to level it down, very wax like in other words. The look and feel are also very wax like. Scent is very traditional car care sweet, and overall, this was a nice product to use.

The main goal for today was to refresh the glass coating. In preparation, I clayed the glass with a clay mitt and Meguiar's M34. A wipe down with Gyeon Prep and the glass was then treated with another coat of Gyeon Quick View.

For the rest of the car, interior was wiped down with Auto Finesse Spritz, engine bay wiped down with Carpro ECH20 and tyres dressed with P&S Shine All.

Speaking of Auto Finesse, final job for the day was to clean the bin...............

Yep, this is my way of throwing dud products in the bin!

Step right up ladies and gentlemen it's time to play Australia's favourite game....

"BINNER OR WINNER" on tonight's show we have DFB Im the MANIm the MAN:applause:;)

Not too sure, I have heard conflicting stories.

Meguiar's are pretty clueless in Australia, so I really don't know what the deal is as it stands.

I haven’t read up on this thread yet, but what makes you think that? I just bought a gallon for about $80 bucks

I dunno about Australia, but Meguiars has some true detailing Gods out in Asia… Those guys can take some wicked looking swirls & holograms on jet black paint and turn it into perfection using Ultimate Compound on a Foam Polishing pad on Speed 3. 8mm polisher to top it off.

Those who’ve seen it know what I’m talking about. Those dudes are legendary. Lol.

Never tried Hyper Dressing, what does it compare to

Carpro Perl is kinda similar, but Perl looks & feels more chemically as opposed to Hyper Dressing looking and applying more natural/water based feeling.

IME Perl has a gloss similar to lip gloss or something similar, sort of artificial flavor like. HD more of a natural rubber, vinyl, plastic dressing/conditioner.

Not thinking. Just wondering with discontinuing there.

Because Australia is the afterthought of the world.

I know you are supposed to be patriotic about your own country, but Australia is such a backwater. We are so far behind the rest of the world across all facets that it just makes us all look like stupid idiots. Incompetence throughout the excessive layers of government makes it hard for us to just live our lives in a logical, peaceful manner.

So, when it comes to products, cars, whatever, Australia always gets the leftovers, if at all.

Thats sad brother.

Most things in america clueless people dont realize how good we have it here.

Sadly for that is one of the reasons our constitutional and god given rights are being chipped away

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend my fellow Australian members here. Please know it comes from frustration, it just feels like we get shortchanged in so many areas in this country.

All good Deyon, I know exactly where you're coming from. We see all the good stuff they get OS, and it either never comes here, is really expensive when it does, or is out of date by the time we get it. For us, this goes for everything from detailing supplies and equipment, all the way up to the actual vehicles we would like. I'd love to get me a Camaro SS, but $100k plus is not going to happen.
