New P&S Absolute

Got my bottle this morning.

The scent is pleasant, preferable to ONR and N-914 to my nose. Just have to find something to clean with it now.

I am not going for a derail here, but...

I just happened across a video for DIY Detail products (never heard of them before) and it featured Yvan LaCroix showing off their rinseless wash

Not only does it show that Yvan will jump ship and change shirts at the drop of a hat, but the content and dialogue of the video could have been taken from ANY of the rinseless wash videos for ANY of the brands he has done over the years

I didn't watch the whole thing because I just can't take him seriously anymore and the first 3 minutes proved it was his same canned speech for all the rinseless products he has shilled for over the years

I think the takeaway of this video and his almost word for word dialogue spanning the years from the earliest ONR videos to today, is that there are NO GAME CHANGER PRODUCTS in this category, not yet anyway

I think each new rinseless product builds on the ones that came before it and MAYBE introduces some small nuance or attribute that MIGHT make it better than the rest....

Or not

As alway, your mileage may vary

I saw that video too. Honestly Yvan will praise any brand depending on who he is working with.

As a brand I don't know what is so great about P&S.

I think they’re a decent brand almost up there with Meguiars, Adams, McKees, etc. Obviously Meguiars is in its own league due to size and breadth but P&S is decent with a complete offering. I wouldn’t necessarily penalize P&S for making a marketing push, there are people whose job it is to increase the brand profile and they don’t always make decisions we’d agree with. And maybe it is more TRC that is pushing to get their store a higher profile.

Advertising and marketing are every day evils we have to contend with.

TRC got pretty weird over Beadmaker.

I love them, but that whole push was a bit much.

Sometimes that approach can work against a company as well. People will avoid a product if the sales pitch is too animated.

I like TRC too. They've been friendly and helpful in the past when I had some questions. They have a business to run, I get it. Same with P&S, which is also a good company with good products. I do think it's odd P&S has no good Sio2 sealant. Beadmaker is good for what it is, but it's weak.

Like any brand, P&S have some fantastic products and some duds.

I find the P&S products I have are cherry picked from their range are very solid performers. Often, these are products I grab most often because they do the job well and are nice to use.

In Australia, the P&S brand also offers better value for money when compared to the Meguiars line up. For example, a gallon of Paint Gloss is $18 cheaper than the same size Megs Last Touch. Another, P&S Iron Buster is $16 cheaper than the same size gallon of Wheel & Paint Iron Decon from Megs.

For me, the P&S brand offers effective and cost-efficient products.

I had an opportunity to try out Absolute today.

I combined Absolute with Bead Maker as a drying aid, and what a combo!! So slick was the paint, I had trouble putting the car cover on at the end.

Absolute is not a game changer; I think most knew that even before using the product. But I'm calling it, I think Absolute is better than N-914.

Might have to try this as a glass cleaner only, I use ONR as a exterior glass cleaner
currently and have had a bottle for going on year's it seems oh how time passes.

Would you say it is better than ONR?

They say a great brand is based on its abrasives...I have never bought an air force one, p.e.n.i.s product in my life.

They are very close in their ability; I think both are worthy choices. Personally, I prefer the scent of Absolute so that would likely sway my decision.

You should research them. Make there own chemicals.

All products the put out seem to perform well if not home runs.

P&S Xpress one of the best interior products I’ve used. Leaves nothing behind and like it better than an waterless Rinseless I’ve tried on interior.

Tremendous love for BM.

Brake buster is a great wheel and tire maintenance products.

See a lot of great reviews for their carpet treatment.

Haven’t seen much on Paint Gloss but DFB seems to like it a lot and his opinion is trusted.

Dreamaker gets love and I like it for the short term gloss it leaves.

The Guz gives there coating a solid endorsement.

The are a solid company with solid products.

I don’t really like how they market but there products work.

Their coatings are not made by them but made to their liking by a 3rd party. Not that it matters.

How is their Undressed Tire Prep? I picked up a bottle of Gyeon Tire Cleaner but it's expensive. The Undressed seems like a far better value.

I still think it's odd they only have BM as their main sealant.

How did you mix Absolute and BM....curious minds want to know...or at least mine!
