Application:

PA Cosmic:

It’s Polish Angel. Smooth like butter. Barely need to wipe off as it almost wipes away when applying.

If applications ease is important there are non better.

Note: this product was bought in December 2018. It is over 4 years old. Still works well where PA states shelf life of 2years opened.

For those that think it’s a lot that’s $25 a year. I think my paint is worth it.

Bead Hero:

Nice application but instructions say mist evenly across entire surface which seems like a lot of product and a dumb way to apply.

I put five sprays with the others 3.

Spread nice, no real drag. Buffed easily no streaks.
It did have a bit of pungent odor.

Kamikaze OverCoat v5:

This was a treat as I only used V1 and it was grabby as all hell. Only like it if i used as drying aid or on damp panel.

This was just like bead hero in application but less product used. Pretty easy. Not PA easy but I would not hesitate to buy over PA because of application if this last longer.

I put this next to Bead hero as these are two I would like to compare. Sort of a cheap vs expensive.

NV Nova Jet

This was most grabby to apply but also side i felt that felt most rough and thought “I shoulda clayed.”

If I had to list 1-4

Would
Cosmic
OverCoat
Bead Hero
Jet

All were pretty easy. OverCoat and BH were VERY close but OC one as it didn’t have pungent smell

All look good but BH had least uniform beads. Jet was most uniform so far.

Sheeting beads surprisingly went to the old cosmic followed by OC. The other two were very similar and real close to OC.

These are just nitpicks as all performed excellent as the should being freshly applied

I'm very curious to see how this pans out.

I've been thinking about buying Overcoat 5.0 but the $100 is a hard pill to swallow when I have 3/4 full bottle of 3.1 sitting on my shelf. That said, I did jut buy Bead Hero because if it performs as good as the couple of videos of it show to it'll be money well spent.

If it's on par with Overcoat for 1/3 of the price then I'll be extremely happy. If not, oh well. It'll go down as fun to try out but a bit of a waste of money just like Diamond Pro Tech Quick Body and Polish Angel High Gloss. Quick Body doesn't hurt nearly as much as High Gloss since it was under $20 for Black Friday. Quick Body was nice to apply and I think looked as good or better than High Gloss, but the water behavior was extremely lackluster. I definitely got caught up in the Polish Angel hype with High Gloss though. It's a nice product to use, but the lack of durability and high cost just aren't worth it.

Jet was always schizophrenic for me; some applications would be amazing in the rain, other times it would be ‘meh’. Never much fun to apply though. Always looked stunning on black.

Can’t believe you have 4 year old Cosmic…admirable restraint!

I’ll be honest and was expecting more from BH as it was flying of the car in the video I saw. I do feel water does not fly off the hood as well as it did my mustang. Aerodynamics?

The truck he used it on may have been coated, not sure.

I may try it and the OC on the front fenders but may be coating soon so not sure.

Well crap, that's disappointing to hear. My car is coated (22PLE HPC) but dire need of a 3PH decontamination wash after Winter. I'll hold off on opening/trying Bead Hero when it arrives so I can return it if it's not all it claims to be.

It was working almost as well as other stuff but I’m worried. Havent used a Dr beasley product yet that wowed me. We’ll see in a month.

I have dash pro which I’m hopeful about with the good reviews.

Only been a day but so far Nova Jet looks like a winner for the price. $30 for 250ML.

It was most used topper for me but had so many others. That 500ML goes along way.

And the beading on Jet might be best of 3 on day one but it is day one and all 3 look good.

Least pleasant to apply of all 4.

In the week Nova Jet is clear winner. The jam the brakes at 30mph test nearly left that section dry. Too bad I read durability an issue.

Kami OC second and BH third. All performing well as expected.

How does the slickness compare between the four?

Interesting to see BH maybe being better than or on par with Cosmic there. Jet really is on another level though.

It's still early but still disappointed in BH. Topper addiction aside, I didn't need BH but was wowed by the marketing to give it a try which is probably why I care so much about it. There are other things that $40 could have gone towards.

I may just try doing half the hood and one door on each side with BH and Overcoat 3.1 to see how they compare on my car. Goal is to do a 3PH decontamination wash this Sunday if weather, time, and motivation are there.

This is great, thank you for sharing.

What does the Cosmic and Jet smell like?

What does the Cosmic and Jet smell like?

Cosmic kinda like a unvented candle and Jet was chemically but not bad.

Jet has fell off. Still competing but not exceeding.

Will try to post up tomorrow.

I ended up returning Bead Hero and imported a graphene based spray coating from the UK. There have been one or two other videos on Bead Hero confirming it wasn't what I was looking for.

Apex Detailing's video he did for BH talked about how it's designed to have larger beads that will slide off the paint rapidly. Based on your tests it looks like that doesn't really seem to be the case in comparison to the other products.

I'm still curious how it and the other products compare long term anyways. I wonder if Jet has gotten clogged?

Will be looking forward to hearing about aht on this side of the pond...they LOVE that stuff 'over there'.

Jet for me was kinda schizophrenic...at times it was just incredible, especially on black paint. Other times it was 'meh'. Very inconsistent.
