Why "was" Autopia great. It's still has an open product discussion.

Yeah, but the "Non-PBMG" rule has been essentially "eliminated" with the disappearance of any form of moderators on this forum.

That said, I think we (forum members) are doing just fine moderating ourselves. :)

The original forum was very different than it is now. Nothing was off limits, (detailing wise). It had people in the industry posting frequently.
 
I've been using FB more and more. Most everyone I know, interact with, etc. has been. This year it's where I spend most of my social media posting. Loads of groups, etc. that just are more convenient, etc. PM me if anyone is interested in connecting there.

True and so is it here on AG. Look at Mike Phillps forum, it bombed.
 
I was just looking over some of the posts.

The guy is a salesman so i doubt he can carry a forum himself. You need a lot of different folks from different backgrounds i believe to have a great forum.

Side note - I always thought the redline pads were waffle style lol
 
I just went on that site for the 1st time. No mention of a forum. I couldn’t find it. It’s also not available on tapatalk. Looks like a real genius was in charge of it. Lol.

his forum is themikephillipsforum not autoforge forum.

Maybe he wanted it kept separate from autoforge? When he was with 3D there was a 3D forum and that vanished.

Or maybe autoforge doesn't want a forum :dunno:

Maybe discord will be the next thing people will do, but I don't see what improvements it would have over a forum...

FB is convenience to me is that there are groups for anything and everything on there. All the social media insights in one place. Also, again, nearly everyone I interact with is on there. I REALLY hate the idea of supporting it just like I do not supporting Amazon, but there too, I do it because the benefits are big.
