what's the last car care/detailing video you've just watched?

Anyway, just finished watching this..............................

Your right Ric, plus I've never heard of that product, they've obviously not connected with me but you know what "legacy" brand has...Turtle Wax. Not only have they connected with me, they threw out the fishing line, caught me and have kept me coming back to certain products...that's how you do it, get a snob like me to buy into your new approach and lines and PROVE IT

Maybe I should buy 1 Meg's product to try, which should I get Ric

Props to Turtle Wax for coming back strong. Just proves they were formidable the whole time which is a good thing for everyone.

As far as a product? Go with DFB’s advice for now.

But… It’s about that time of year when Meguiars hosts their Thursday Nite Open Garage meetups which I haven’t attended in Years now[crazy how time flys]but if they’re happening maybe I’ll sign up and go to the next one. That would actually be really cool as I believe they’ve got a whole new setup in a brand new building and maybe I’ll see some old friends there. I gotta go back.

Those are some great points, and certainly a way of thinking that I hadn't considered. In fact, I was that guy standing in the automotive store buying Meguiar's products to maintain my first car. So that makes a lot of sense, Meguiar's provides an entry point to the detailing world, a gateway to drug if you will.

As for depending on the tried-and-true products, this can work both ways. Sure, using the tried and true will get results, but what if there is something new or different that gets better results? I actually went the other way, me thinking a product like Hyper Wash was not worth trying because its old hat, only to discover that I truly enjoy using it. If we stay in our comfort zone, we don't learn or try new things. So, maybe there is a better glass cleaner or soap out there, sticking with a singular brand is at the risk of discovering something better.

You’re very right, and I’ve thought about that. Especially when I hear people talk about stuff like Koch Khemie [or however it’s spelled] and I’ve never even sniffed any of that stuff, trust me it makes me think.lol.

Ah, the mystique of the German products. That's why we have Klasse, Blackfire, Wolfgang, P21S, etc.

Let us know how TNOG goes.

Don't forget Sonax and those German engineered triggers

You know what? This is Merica! I’m not sure if I even need any of that German stuff touching my Cadillac.lol.

It’s bad enough I had to sit there and polish a Mercedes Benz in front of my Cadillac this past weekend while it had 2 days of light dust on it. I outta go outside and give my car a wipedown to make things right. Lol.

You see the flag in the back?lol.

Well, of course Blackfire and Wolfgang were never German products...they just wanted you to think they were. And it looks like the mfr. of Klasse (CarLack) got bought by a Chinese company.

I actually watched the video about how Griot's blends stuff and it was fascinating and confirmed a lot that I had wondered about regarding testing, QC, etc

Watched one video with a detailing keg and suddenly my recommendations are flooded with videos about them. Damn algorithm. With an entrance fee of $600 I think I’ll stick my IK for now.

This won't help but I saw one of the guys who makes these (I think there's a few now) mention that soon he's going to stop the refurbished kegs and use new ones. That'll increase that sticker shock price.

I see no need for a Keg in my workflow. The easiest way to go out of business is to keep buying useless, overpriced equipment with no real benefit. I’ll stick with my foam cannon and IK Multi Pro 12.

I’m literally watching that video right now just before coming on here. Trying to figure out what the heck a foam keg was.
