The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Both of these got a proper wash yesterday...and of course it sprinkles early in the morning, so the Edge has water spots. Still better than the dirt film that was all over it.

OMG look at the size difference, the Edge is mid-sized too

Two days after applying Sweet Rubber, I'm happy with how the sheen has settled down, and how it has spread into all the little nooks and crannies. We had some rain and storms overnight too.

These tyres are now 5 years old. Sorry Deyon, there's still some nibs on them.

Expect about 2 weeks from Sweet Rubber, but for the Nissan because it's garaged expect longer.

Blaster damage? It looks like the sand people did this, but I've never heard of them hitting anything this big before.View attachment 138972

Apologies, I've been watching the original trilogy, again.
"Had a slight weapons malfunction but, uh everything’s perfectly all right now. We’re fine. We’re all fine here now. Thank you. How are you?"

Chilly!

Must have missed that

You felt you needed more of an open hauler? Is that metallic paint? Did the dealer trash it?
Yeah, there are times we need to haul landscaping stuff, grass clippings to the dump, etc, plus the 4Runner is almost 17 years old and is ready to be retired

The paint is hard to describe and honestly I haven't gotten too good a look at it yet

It is very similar to the blue car and has hints of purple in different light, and it is a "light metallic", if there is such a thing, just very subtly metallic

We actually had a deposit on this truck for quite a while now, waiting for it to show up

Getting a new Taco up here is next to impossible, they sell while they are still being built

The dealer has 20 listed now, and every single one says "sale pending" and of that 20, 15 are not actually even there yet

They are noted as "possibly in transport" or "in build status"

We actually got to look at it on Wednesday and test drove it and decided to buy it and while we were sitting there filling out some stuff for a credit check I didn't notice the salesman went out and drove it around to get detailed, and by the time I called him it had already been "washed", so no telling what it looks like under the coat of dust

Interesting side note, we paid cash but they require an "internal" credit pull so we could write a check and drive it away that day

Ugh about the dealer "detail", interesting about the color. I'm still amazed that dealers will take personal checks for such a high-value item. Last time we went through that I don't remember any credit checking even.

It was the same salesman that sold us the big silver car and he apologized and said he knew we were good for the check but he had to follow procedures

I have no idea where they would draw the line on a credit score before they would refuse a check

In 1994, my parents (after checking first) paid for a new GMC pickup by check (no financing). The finance manager freaked out, accused them of grand theft, and ripped up the check. Never seen anyone go as white as the salesman did (who ran to his sales manager). They ended up with truck after writing another check and a lot of groveling and apologies from other staff.
