Figure most Geeks have at least one OCD quirk with their beloved autos.

Mine is QD'ing the hood every night to remove all dust so I can look at the hood reflection while I drive. Oh, have to clean the windshield too.

I also wipe down the wheels every couple of days.

Guess I could have a more destructive vice...at least that's what I tell the wife.

Right there with ya........almost the same routine!

Me too ! I also like to see a shinny hood when I look out of the windshield.

Ok ...Im really bad then...I QD the side windows and back window in addition to the windshield and hood..

I thoroughly clean around the inside bottom of all doors. Painted areas and seals. I also blow out/dry these areas very well. I hand wash these areas during every wash.
I also wash/dress our engine areas 4 times a year.

Jump on cleaning bird, bug, and sap daily.
BUT, I never considered it OCD, lol :D

Compared to you guys, I don't have one...which just means I need to get one, lol!

In the winter I wash every friday - even if it's snowing AS I wash... I do it to get the accumulated salt off - piece of mind

I remove seats to thoroughly extract under the seats and extract/detail every angle of the seat itself

I remove my wheels to seal them and do a thorough well detail

I put the car on ramps and get under it and clean the undercarriage and pressure wash off

These are just a few

I usually do a complete detail once a month. And wash 2 times weekly followed with a spray wax after each wash before the detail. After that it's QD every other day or everyday depending on the season (live in a rural area with a lot of farms!).

I yell at anyone that rides with me too if they drop anything on the carpet. I can't stand a dirty carpet, and with black interior it's really noticably. My girl likes to pick the cat hair off her clothes and drop it on my floor. I have made her at times use a lint roller on herself and then my seats and floor before she got in the car!

I wouldn't consider it OCD, just my car is the one I've always wanted, and I'm anal about keeping it in the best shape possible for the longest time possible. Plus I take pride in it looking great!

I go for a walk every day at lunch time... Just to check for bird bombs. I REALLY hate bird bombs... :D

1) At a stoplight, I California dust the dash and everything I can reach. When the light changes, I shake the duster out the window.
At the next stoplight, I spray Quick Interior Detailer on a MF that I keep in the pouch on the driver's door and wipe down the dash and console.
2) When it's misty outside, and I see the green/yellow pollen floating in each water bead on the car, I foam the car with car wash, rinse it, dry it off, then wipe the horizontal panels down with spray wax.
HELP!

Wow, it's good to know I'm not anywhere near as bad as I thought!

Yeah, I'm breathing a sigh of relief too. Conducting quick details at stoplights might take the cake so far...

I use to blow the water from the cracks by mouth, before I moved to a leaf blower.

Hmm after reading this thread I don't think I have any ocd lol :D

Scott blowing water our of cracks with his mouth...he conveniently left out the naked rain dance he performs as a ritual when washing. My eyes my eyes:eek:
