Menzerna or Megs for finishing polish

Hey folks. I have been using PINN-AFP on my black Acura RL and am running out. I bought a bottle of SIP and need a follow up polish. My question is, should I go with a Menz polish or maybe try the new Megs (205?) finishing polish?
 
I'm a creature of habit. I would go for the 106FA and maybe some 85RD and 87MC to jewel. I've heard good stuff about the 205. But if it ain't broke don't fix it(or change it in this instance).
 
Those are 3 great recommendations right there.

Ultrafina is a very fine polish. It would not be advisable to use to remove swirls.

As far as Meguiars versus Menzerna. Right now I am going the Meg's route for Heavy/Medium compounding (if needed), Menzerna for Polishing/Finishing (Megs 105 on a Lake Country Purple Foamed Wool pad, SIP on a polishing pad, PO85rd on a finishing pad). Once I use up my SIP, I am seriously considering switching to Megs for both compounding and polishing and maybe even finishing is 205 finishes down as nice as people say it does. For example: Meg's 105 on Purple Foamed Wool if need Heavy/Medium correction (if needed), Meg's 205 on a polishing pad and possibly 205 on a finishing pad. Still waiting to see if 205 finishes down as nice as people say.
 
Actually Ultrafina is a polish but it does remove light holograms/swirls. It is a finishing polish like 85rd. I would give M105 the nod for compound, sip for a medium polish. This is were it gets a little tricky. If you want maximum gloss 85rd hands down. Ease of use would go to Ultrafina and 205, with Ultrafina having the edge in gloss.

Using a Megs G110. Does this change the equation?
 
Well asphalt rocket had been guideing me with my vette i used SIP the 106fa first for me so far so good .
 
Hows the Menzerna Powerfinish been working as a single step product? Does it work enough on it's own to maybe be a finishing polish in line with 106FF/FA?

I liked it. It cuts like IP, and finishes down almost like 106FA. If a lot of correction is not needed, give it a shot. Works great for lighter color to. I'd problly still throw another finishing step in for darker colors cars(black, dark gay).
 
Cool. I'm gonna be doing a SSM Honda SK2 in a couple of months (when I get home from tour), and it just needs a claying and a light polish. Thought I'd try out the Powerfinish for it. Topped with some Opti Seal and then some Max Wax, give it that pop and deep look.

If all you need is to get rid of some ultrafine swirl marks, this would work. There is no need to bring out a cannon on a job a BB gun could do. It will save you clear coat. If you can use the least aggressive means possible, to remove a imperfection, do it.
 
I was looking for something to finish after the 106FA on some of the softer clears myself. I have the 3M Ultrafina, but am always curious as to what other people are having success with
 
I have FPII, but I still find myself reaching for Ultrafina or 85rd. This is what I use to finish on my mom's accord, on her other honda years ago I use to use the FPII but Ultrafina and 85rd work just fine now. Now that you have mentioned this I will have to use it next time I clean her car.
