Is there some form of products that will reduce the amount of static i can use on the corvette mainly .No matter how many times i wipe it down or when i take the cover off everything in the air clings to the paint it's like a giant dust mop.

FK425 claims to have antistatic properties. Try it out on your next QD.:buffing:

I think Chemical Guys makes something also.

good thread, living out in the country with hay and corn fields is no fun.

I don't think AG makes a anti-static spray. Chemical guys synthetic QD and FK are the only ones I know. Fuzion is supposed to be anti-static

I know lots of folks are marketing this--hope AG will add to its brands
of instant detailers(crystal mist, etc.)

I've been using FK425 for over a year and its a great QD, however I just picked up a bottle of Surf City Hot Rod Detailer and IMO it's slicker than FK425.

where do you rate aw along these other two?
Red, as much as I like AW, it's a spray sealant and not a true QD. I QD every morning, if it's not raining, so using AW everyday would mute the flakes on my paint. I use AW on my wheels, door jams, trunk lid and the painted areas under the hood.

having used most if not all of them, none work on the rear of the Vette. It seems like dust just sticks there ... and having a black rear makes it worse. Someone once suggested it has to do with aerodynamics.

I agree but i'm willing to try anything i can't even get out of the garage without dust following me down the block.Lucky the vette is fast LOL .Think i will try the FK 425

I found Zaino Z6 to reduce the static very well on my Civic Si. I could always feel the hairs on my arms lift up when wiping the wax off the rear bumper. :D
