Review-Optimum No Rinse

Can ONR be used for rinseless washes on freshly painted panels as well?

Will it interfere with paint curing?

Thanks Cris! :D

btw I was worried as it leaves a polymer coating behind that might hinder with the paint out-gassing!?

I'm not sure of the specifics but Dr G says you can paint over ONR so I know its fine on new paint.

Are you sure about that , it just doesnt sound right? ONR is very slick , I cant see paint sticking over a product like that?

Yes I'm sure. Here is a reply Dr G made regarding ONR not having silicone or interfering with polishing from the Optimum Forum in 2009:

No rinse contains polymers that are soy based and there is no silicone whatsoever in this product. In fact you can paint right over it which would be impossible if it had any silicones. Products with silicones would also have streaking issues which would be very visible on glass surfaces. The polymeric film left on the surface would not interfere with polishing whatsoever. I hope this answers your question.

That's pretty cool! Never would have expected that you could paint over ONR, thanks for posting. :props:
