Greetings everyone! Just another Off-Topic thread that I thought could be fun. The rules are simple: be honest and give a brief scenario of the meeting. This is open to all forum members, so yes that includes Autogeek employees and forum moderators.

I'll start with my short list:

Ric Flair - Charleston Civic Center (WV) waiting to see the show

Kareem Abdul Jabbar - Pittsburgh airport on my way to Marine Corps boot camp

Scottie Pippen - D.C. hotel returning from a military training class, shared an elevator and he started a conversation with me about the military, super nice guy.

That's it for me, now it's your turn! Remember, be honest.

I've only got one..

Captain Johnathan Hillstrand - Captain of the Time Bandit on Deadilist Catch. I met him in a bar in NYC right across from Madison Square Garden. He was at a boat show across the street and came over for a drink. My girlfriend and I had a drink with him and had our pics taken. He's a very down to earth guy.

Chris Burke (Corky) from Life Goes On - As a teenager, I worked at Pine Valley Country Club in Fort Wayne, IN. They had a convention there on Down Syndrome and Chris Burke was the key speaker. He's a nice guy and very full of energy.

Aaaaaand, that's all.

Mark

Ive met a few.

Ru Paul - I used to frequent NYC clubs like the limelight and tunnel back in the day.

Sharon Stone - NYC the Tunnel

Artie Lang - A guy I work with is a cousin

Warren Buffet - I worked with an insurance company he owns (one of many) and he joined us for lunch. I was silent and in awe lol.

I know I have met more but it was a lifetime ago when I was alot more social then I am now.

I met Dennis Rodman in Las Vegas. My buddy said some wise stuff as he walked by and he responded with some choice words about the guy and his girlfriend @ the time. Not appropriate to post it on here, but his response was hilarious.

Ted DiBiase (million dollar man) - I have a friend I visit in Clinton, MS on a regular basis and we ran into him at a video store. He is HUGE!

The Judd's - when I was about 17, got my picture taken with them after a concert my Dad got free tickets for.

Jermaine Taylor - living in LR I see his black lambo around from time to time. Saw the man himself at a gun show one time, with his bodyguards no less :) Shook his hand, nice guy.

Queensryche- I used to be a dj at a radio station in Taylorville,IL and got to meet them backstage in Springfield,IL really nice guys.
Also ran into the Smothers brothers when I was working at an rv dealership in Vegas.

When I was a Federal cop I was assigned to the security details of a number of politicians, celebrities, foreign diplomats and royalty. Doing that I met two Presidents...George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Mrs. Marilyn Quayle, VP Al Gore, a number of Congressmen and Senators, Elizabeth Taylor, Marlo Thomas, former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, Sam Donaldson of ABC News, and during the 50th Anniversary NATO meeting in DC I escorted the daughter of some Greek minister. I don't remember her name but she was gorgeous.

When I was a kid, my dad owned a newspaper and met many, many politicians and celebrities. I have his collection of autographed photos of many of them...John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, George Burns, Bob Hope, J. Edgar Hoover, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan both as Governor of California and as President, and many others.

It's interesting to note of all the people I met or my dad met, how personable many were and how supremely arrogant and pompous others were. You can't always tell by how they appear on tv or the movie screen.

You forgot Gandhi?

Gene Simmons-girlfriend and I got our picture taken with him at the airport.

Amber Lynn-you older guys know who she is. Met her and pic taken after one of her "dances".

I went to the Smoky Mountain Fan Fest in Pigeon Forge once, where they had a bunch of the cars and several cast members from the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard (most of the cars were privately owned by various individuals). These are the actors that were there:

Ben Jones: played Cooter Davenport
James Best: played Rosco P. Coltrane
Sonny Shroyer: played Enos Strait
Rick Hurst: played Cletus Hogg
Don Pedro Colley: played Sheriff Little of Chickasaw County
Catherine Bach: played Daisy Duke
Byron Cherry: played Coy Duke in Season 5
Donna Douglas: Elly May Clampett in The Beverly Hillbillies
Butch Patricke: Eddie Munster in The Munsters
Margaret Pelligrini: played a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz

I got the chance to meet and shake hands with James Best and Byron Cherry. Got both their autographs, too. Got pics of James Best, Ben Jones, Sonny Shroyer, Rick Hurst, Donna Douglas, Margaret Pellegrini, and Butch Patrick. Saw but didn't get pics of Catherine Bach, Don Pedro Colley, and Byron Cherry. View thread on this and pics here.

I also met Michael Blackburn (late American sharpshooter and former bounty hunter - we met him and his family at a campground we were staying at), Rusty Wallace (Christmas party for our dealership), James Rogers (Dollywood), Jay Teter (he's a country singer, works at the Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge - just google him). Also got to meet Max, Meghan, Dwayne, Mike Phillips, and a few of the other geeks. :D I think that's it. If there's anybody else they're slipping my mind at the moment.

Eva Longoria @ Rudy's BBQ standing next to me in line, I started making small talk and didn't even realize who it was till the employee told me "dude do you know who you were just talking too?!!" I was wondering why they were cutting her BBQ into little cubes, they would never do that for me :(

Met Slash from Guns and Roses here at a show he did in Atlanta. That was amazing, I about fell over.
