Just when I get my new baby, the winter solstice approaches, and it's time to put her away. It has already been too cold here, about 30's outside, and my garage is teetering around 50 degrees or so. Therefore, I have NOT been able to fully correct her yet. It will have to wait till next spring. I wasn't able to test out SigSeries II or Liquid Souveran on her :(

I was able to sneak in 35% tint all around. IMO, tint on a white car is a MUST. It completes the look. Also was able to get a Lumar Clear Bra/Shield on the front bumpers and the mirrors. Can you tell they're on the car?

Lastly, I did manage to give her an ONR wash, quick clay, OCW/OID. Swirls still abound... will buff those in spring. Luckily it's white with flakes, so swirls are hiding for the most part ;) Here is what she looks like before shutting insurance off and keeping her in the garage for the next 3 months... (stupid weather).

I envy you Florida, Texas, and Cali folks!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Looks great. I bet you'll be more than anxious to get it out of storage

Looks good man, did the same for my car. Oh and btw, I envy wherever you live and there isn't snow on the ground right now!

That sure is a purdy car :dblthumb2:

Thanks Dwayne...

That's true...thanks for making me feel better ;) altho supposed to icy rain today.

That Z looks awesome! They're head-turners for sure.

Should you not have waited to do the clear bra until after you remove any swirls? I'm sure they're hardly visible, but I figure since the car isn't going anywhere, why not wait until spring to clean it up and then do the clear bra? Just curious.

Hi Mark... thanks! After reading my initial post, I guess I didn't emphasize that point. I did get to do a quick polish on the bumper before taking it in. The mirrors had very minor if at all. The bumper had minimal swirls as well, so I just did a 1 stepper.

Those Z's are a great looking car and that color fits it well.

My Z06 is headed for its winter hibernation but not just yet. As long as there's no snow. ice. or sand around the roads are just cooler that's all.

Yeah we just had a bit of icy rain today, but it melted away and no salt was poured down. I can perhaps still squeeze another few days of driving :)

nice car, u wont regret applying the clear bra, ive got a is250 with the bra, and it is definitely worth every penny. also, sorry, but its been hovering around 80 here lately, so just applied another coat of wg sealant for the winter here in dallas, which isnt too bad.

Looks great!! After you bra the car do you need to put wax over it?

Nice ride & Congrats.:xyxthumbs:

Thanks!

Beautiful 370Z !!!

Thanks Pat... I've always loved the 300zx's...

I agree. It's my first time having the clear bra applied. Was always hesitant about putting a piece of plastic over paint, but I must say, when it's polished underneath it, the bra is not even noticeable. Anything to protect my paint from chips! And you are lucky to have 80's for winter!!!

With these new types of clear bra's, they actually recommend waxing it. They say sealants are better, to avoid any type of dye in the wax to prevent yellowing. However, the new formulations of these bras are resistant to fading or yellowing regardless of what protectant lsp you use. Still, I will be using WG DGPS on it.

I maintain a car with a bra on it and I have found it helps shed bugs and bird poop alot easier and reduces the marring on it. The bra my client has is very soft and it will mar easily so putting a protectant on it really helps out

Why would you put the car in storage? Does it snow every day where you live?
Also the window are kind of dark. How can you see out the window? That is got to be a ticket if not worse waiting to happened.

In any event it is a fine looking car, enjoy it, carefully.

Harv.
