Burnouts at AG - Who did this?

Too bad you don't have exterior security cameras to solve the mystery!

That supercharger on my Corolla got the best of me........sorry.:nomore::nomore::nomore:

I'm sorry Mike that was Chewie the Wonder Cat test driving Max's sleigh. I'll talk to him about it. :nomore:

Sorry guys.......my foot slipped off of the clutch of my Yugo!

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Sure it wasn't Meghan? :-)
Yeah in my 300, I don't think it could on a good day!

If Max's 'vette is stock, no way could it have done that. I've never driven a stock C6 that could break the tires loose for that kind of distance.
Max had the Mercedes today :)

Perhaps an unhappy customer.
As if that was possible...

AH well with all those goodies in the warehouse, yes we do!

I had a TransAm Firehawk and it could do that and more. I think a C6 with more HP/TQ and much lighter could light them up all day.

Not a chance. I had a buddy in high school with a T/A Firehawk, and THAT car could definitely lay down some strips of rubber. Also had another buddy with a Z28 Camaro of the same vintage, I personally laid down a few sets of road stripes with it.

The difference is that the C5/C6 'vettes are drive by wire and are more heavily computer controlled than the F-body cars were. Torque Management keeps them from spinning tires in stock form, often even with the traction/stability control disabled. At least the automatic trans ones are that way.

Now, if the car has had a PCM re-tune that eliminates Torque Management, I would agree it will light 'em up easy.

Ha, yup just going to say that the new vettes won't do it as far as I know. My dads new vettes traction control won't let it slip.

Don't ask how I know that, I will deny I said anything.

:EDIT: Well hmmm I just watched the vid. Maybe its because I don't have an accent.

I thought Torque Management was more for taking spark out when shifting at high RPMs to protect the transmission and drivetrain.

Traction Control (TCS) was more for locking out the accelerator with wheel spin. But it could be turned off with the flick of a switch. :xyxthumbs:

when torque management is coded out of the PCM a Vette will indeed spin easily and auto's will chirp 2nd hard especially in comp mode. Fortunately the runflats dont leave that much residue however. They are quite quiet in burnouts too , Michellin Ps2's even quieter at spin. (Mike suggested he heard it)

I suspect it was Matt .:props:

No, no, no, it wasn't Max's Vette.

It was Harvey! :props:

I'm running 315's on my Z06 so I know those aren't mine, so those patches would have been allot wider and allot longer.....

I'm closing in on 300hp to the front wheels, and have plenty of torque to smoke them up, but it was not me;) I don't think i even have any tread to waste at this point!

Matt just got some modifications done to his S2000, could it be him?

I run 325's on my WS6,with almost 900hp:they would of been a whole lot longer than that! :hotrod2:

Well that is certainaly a possiibilty. Max has been out of town the last few days and all

Of course though, Dwayne has the keys to Max's Vette, so he can't be ruled out either?

We may have to call in "Big Daddy" Don Garlits from Ocala to help us detemine exactly what kinda tires did this Im the MAN

Those marks look like they are from a vehicle with like 275's or less
