Your very first "Wow" wax

Do I dare say...Simonize "Vista."

I think that was the first cleaner/wax to hit the market back in the late 50's. Sure beat having to use "Kleener" and then wax.

Like Kurt s, my first "wow" wax was One Grand Blitz carnauba. Most recent memory of a "wow" was Pinnacle Souverign.

Unless you're born into a detailer family, most people start with what was sold at the department or auto parts store, yes? So probably the first WOW was from using an AIO for the very first time. When I was a kid, Rain Dance was the "wax" of choice. But when I got into detailing, the second and perhaps bigger WOW was not because of the wax, it was because I cleaned and polished the paint. At the time, I used Meguiar's full Mirror Glaze system.

Zymol Auto Polish, which later became Cleaner Wax.

The finish, and beading was incredible, but the durability severely lacked....

Not sure if anyone has heard of this and it's mostly on the West Coast. It's a product called Ultra Car Care Products. They no longer sell it as the guys who made it (brothers) decided to get out of the car care business. Excellent products.

My first "WOW" wax was NXT 2.0. I was amazed on how it made the paint pop. Before this, I was mainly using Mother's Carnauba Paste wax and Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Wax. I think it's the synthetic pop that made me say WOW.

I have to agree about the NXT 2.0, in all its Joker from Batman bottle and cap combo, LOL! Stuff smelled like laundry soap, do they still sell it?

Mine was Excaliber too. Way back in the 70's. Put it on a Midnight Blue Ford Ltd II. Big money back then.

Eagle One Wax-As-U-Dry.

I was blown away by how easy & good it made the paint popped first time using it.

Still is a solid OTC product. I wouldn't hesitate to pick some up should it goes on sale.

I would have to say my first "wow" wax was the old Blue Coral that came with a bottle of cleaner and then you would "top" the paint as we say now with the LSP of a small blue glass jar of the "hardest" wax I've ever used. You could only do one panel at a time or you were in trouble wiping it off. Ask me how I know that one? Did anyone else ever use this stuff.?

Not gonna lie - every time I see a photo of some nice ride, I always ended up paying more attention to the place and/or driveway/garage in the background. And if you have stuff on the shelves, I would spend more time trying to figure out what the products & tools are...

My first 'WOW' wax was actually M26, I had only used the standard OTC stuff beforehand. The paint looked really good of course, but the biggest factor was the feel of the paint afterwards, it was unlike anything I had previously encountered.

I was happy with turtle wax.But after using Collinte 845 it was like WOW.
I still compare any new LSP I get with it.

Add me to this list...still use it ALL the time.
