Ultima Sale

Yeah it's been going on for a while now, dunno why Autogeek hasn't advertised the sale. I couldn't pass up the 12oz of UPGP for $29.99 when I saw it a couple weeks ago.. Makes it a better deal per OZ than Opti-Seal.

I'm gonna guess it's either old stock or they are planning to not carry the line anymore. I just can't come up with why they wouldn't advertise it and leave it up for so long. I could be wrong though.

It could just be that it's not moving at the original price. It's winter in a lot of the country, and Ultima has kind of a sticker shock if you're a traditionalist who's used to using more product.

But you would think if they want to move it then they would advertise the lower prices.

Some of it might be old stock but the bottle of UPGP that was shipped to me was not old stock. It had a manufacture date sticker on the bottom of only 3 months old.

It's been "on sale" for a few months now. I check the What's New and Special Values links several times a week and it's been in the Special Values ever since I found AG.

Ultima products appear to work well and have a decent following but they are pricey! The 12oz size of Ultima Paint Guard Plus was $40.00 which can limit its penetration to the consumer markets.

I bought several of these products 6 or 7 weeks ago and when I saw them on sale I thought it was something new but I guess this has been ongoing..

Incredible prices! I already have enough of each to last me a very long time though... Even half a bottle will last a very long time!

I don't think they will stop carying the line because they just brought back the Ultima Interior Shampoo Gel recently.

I can't figure out what the deal is with these odd mysteries of the universe.

I don't think it is old stock. I got some UTTG a couple weeks ago and it had a mfr. date of 10/01/10.

But I'm not suggesting they are trying to clear it out, I'm suggesting they just don't sell as much as it as they would like at the regular price. Besides, "sale" prices always encourage people to buy, even if it's not that much of a savings. Marketing 101.

I understand marketing, one of the keys to marketing is advertising, all I was wondering is why its been on sale for so long and no one is talking about it. That's all.

All I know is that they are good products at a good price! Figured I would take advantage of it while it's cheaper than what everyone else is selling it for. Mine was only a few months old and so was Golliger's , so its not old product they're trying to push.

This from a NOOB...what are the 2 or 3 Ultima products a person 'has to have' in their detailing arsenal?

Also, people speak of the dilution ratios of Ultima products being low quantity of product to H20 but I do not see any of those dilution ratios listed on AG's website. Can you give me an idea of what the UPGP ratio is for example?

Um...I'm not aware of people suggesting you dilute these products. The fact is that you use a very small amount of product to get the job done. The problem with that is that either you get a big bottle with a really big price, or a normal price with a small bottle...and people who are used to using products where you use more product to get the job done experience some sticker shock when looking at the Ultima pricing.

Ok, that makes sense...I'm a NOOB so I may have misread it. Thanks for clearing it up!

The only two that I've used from the Ultima line are Ultima Waterless Wash+ Concentrate and Ultima Paint Guard Plus 12oz.

With that said, I plan on continuing to buy these products when I run out, as they have both totally exceeded my expectations, and the value for money on both of these products is tremendous.

The only Ultima product I know of that recommends dilution is Ultima Waterless Wash+ Concentrate. I use 3oz per 1 gallon of distilled water.

Great sale. I just placed my order and it included some UTTG and UPGP. I love Ultima.
