Duragloss Users/Enthusiasts

I applied it via LC red and worked it into the paint as richy said. Its washed every 2 weeks with DJ btbm and no booster or qd'ers applied. Its been holding up pretty well too. Its not too much of a beader but it sheets nicely.

I agree with the sheeting, that's spot on! I will polish my car in April and re-apply mine. I have another one that I have to use as well.

Please enlighten me here. Are Zaino products the same as DG?

There has been significant speculation that some/many of Zaino's products are in fact just re-labled Duragloss with slight tweaks to color/fragrance/etc.

That's really all I can say with any absolute certainty -- I know others have said the product lines are interoperable e.g. using ZFX to "enhance" the Duragloss sealants and whatnot but I've not personally tried anything like that.

Oh ok gotcha...I wonder how many Zaino lovers would be heart broken if they found out that it was in fact DG....lol

I won some 111 but it was ruined. Some guy scribbled on it with a pen. I found a sucker to take my scribbled on 111 for a fresh 111 and some Aqua Wax. Plus, he's gonna throw in some samples of 105, 501, and 601. I haven't used any of it yet.

What's the difference between 105 and 111? Where/when/why do you use 501?

What an idiot! I heard he even put in a sample of DG CWC and Folex. Not sure about that guy...

105 has light cleaners in it, 111 has no cleaners. 111 is also a little finicky with humidity in my experience. 501 can be used as a paint cleaner. it really pulls out grime like you wouldn't believe but leaves a layer of protection behind. you may see it excel on white because of the grime that it pulls out of paint. if you use 601 then 501, within 2 hours you can top with 105. add 601 before 105 and it will be cured within 2 hours. do a final wipe with aqua wax and you won't believe the finish.

I like the DG 153 tire dressing. It creates a low gloss, black satin look. I can't swear that it is more durable than other water-based dressings I have used, but it certainly is not less durable.

i think the 901 is much better and cheaper than dp foam in the foam gun-also the nu-glass is underated

Took a trip up to the Duragloss plant (1&1/2hrs drive) and got what I needed after getting shorted at the local Car Quest. My plan is to use the new Meg's DA MF system (TY Autogeek) as correction and then follow up with the 501 for a deep clean the 601 for bonding the 105 topper. AW is in the mix as well as their Track Claw and Nu-glass. I think I will be happy with the results.

Interesting. Buy Zaino, get half the amount for twice the price. Buy Duragloss, get Zaino for less money and more product. We need to convert Zaino users to Duragloss users. Duragloss is really one of those products you would not give a second look, but once you have used it you wonder why did I miss this one.

At one point I think they were more alike than they (DG & Zaino) are at this time. Back around 2002-2004ish specualtion that they were the same was rampant resulting in numerous flame wars. It didn't help that at one time they both used the same bottles. Rumor, take it for what it's worth, is that DG & Z did joint research a long time ago, but the products are not as alike as they used to be at one point.

Lol I agree. Those Vette guys go nuts for the stuff!

Yeah back in the day (1999) my first boutique products were Zaino. I was on an F-body forum and GM truck forums. Sal had a very strong presence on Corvette boards and that trickled down to F-body and GM truck boards. Zaino was the first premium product most had experience with and coupled with Sal's great service resulted in overzealous worship. I remember posting a review of Zaino after using it in 1999 on LS1.com and then getting a personal email from Sal. He then thanked me for the purchase and sharing my experience. At the time it was only advertised by word of mouth.

On a more relevant note:
I've wanted to try DG105....how does it compare durability and appearance wise to Wolfgang DGPS 3.0 and say BFWD? Does it approach Z2 durability? I'd probably try Zaino out again if I didn't have to purchase $2X in ZFX in order to use it.

501, 105, car wash, and Aquawax are what I have and use.

DG is one of my favorite lines as well. I have used:

101
105
*AquaWax
*901 Wash
203 Vinyl & Leather Dressing
451 Carpet Cleaner
751 Rain Repel
265 Ultimate Detail Spray
401 APC
921 FC&S

* These I will always have on hand.

I want to try 501 once my other AIO supply has diminished further.

I actually have some Aquawax coming in the mail tomorrow. I'm pretty excited to use it after everything i've read on here. Other than that i have the rain repel (#751) and i love it. much better than the stoners version or rain x .

What I have tried I really like. I do plan on adding it to the arsenal. Seems like the best bang for the buck product that I have found.
