I can see this is going to be an ongoing issue. All I can say is go look yourself in the mirror and see if there are any flaws you would change

Ron Paul....Yes. What this guy says makes alot of sense, but who the hell is he? He's been around for almost 10 years now and I still don't know who he is. If you showed me a picture, I would have no idea who I was looking at. He doesn't resignate with the majority of ppl for whatever reason. I believe some see him as some crazy kook or something. IDK
 
I have nothing of any value to add to this thread, I just wanted to be a part of one that is 11 (and counting) pages strong.

There are a few flaws I would change if I could. Since I figured this was supposed to be a light thread, I decided to play along. Looks are not an issue I look for in a President. Qualifications and ability to unify is what I look for (amongst other criteria).

It wasn't to me. I'm just trying to make sure my thread doesn't get shutdown

If I step in from time to time, please don't feel its directed at any of you personally. I really do want to here how each of you feel on this issue

he's been around for a lot longer than 10 years! he had the same ideas in 1988, when he was on the morton downey jr. show, haha. but he's been doing this thing for decades.

he doesn't resonate because he doesn't get the exposure from the media and endorsements from other republicans because he's too honest - he goes against his own party many times and doesn't care about partisan nonsense. in reality, he's a libertarian, but it's hard to classify him because his beliefs are more along the lines of what makes sense for the sustenance of the country, not what makes sense for any party or group.

this country, and the majority of politicians ONLY care about partisanship, because popularity is what wins in washington, and the media of course wouldn't have stories if everyone agreed, or even agreed to disagree. thank goodness for the internet - that is how people have caught on to Ron Paul's ideaology, FINALLY.

personally, the only thing i disagree with him on is abortion, but he's an OB/GYN by trade so if anyone knows about it, he does. abortion is a minor minor issue compared to the foundational issues he discusses, stuff that actually matters when it comes to our country lasting.

Well I'm reading a lot of #### otherwise. People only concerned with short term solutions that will result in more pain in the long term. If you fix things in the short term only you will have the same problem again in a few years. Not smart!

Who is Ron Paul?...I thought he was some hippie politician who only misinformed confused college kids liked? Might be me, but I've only heard of him on bumper stickers stuck to the back of swirled up cars with squeaking belts.
 
I think The Donald stepped on his winkie when he dropped the F-Bomb & MF-Bomb multiple times recently. That is totally unprofessional and turned me off to him immediately. Sensitive ears? Hardly, I was in the Navy and still speak that way myself sometimes but I'm not in the public eye or possibly running for the President of the United States.

If it comes down to two, that being he & the current idiot in office, then I would vote for Trump. Not because I like him but it would be a vote against Obama.

this country's political methods need a complete overhaul first if anything.

I am amazed how FAR these off topic threads go! I havent even seen a detail thread go this far in a while! That being said, there is no such thing as a "president" its just a puppet that shows up here and there waving. I would never waste my time voting since its they who pick the puppet for the next term. That being said, MIKE PHILIPPS FOR 2012!!!!!!
