It's probably payback for not having to deal with blizzards all winter long.

Two words Bill - Power Washer

Can you imagine ridding a motor cycle there!

I'll gladly take a month of love bugs over 5 months of snow ANY day. The bugs can certainly be a pain in the butt, which is why I carry this combo around with me. :xyxthumbs:

5 minutes a day of removing bugs is much better than 15 minutes of clearing off your car while it heats up every morning. :nomore:

That would be a nightmare ... hitting bugs while riding my bike already is bad enough, I can't imagine hitting those at freeway speeds. It would be like getting shot with a BB machine gun.

Bill, those love bugs are wretched little sacks of acid and Skybaby is not aloud to go very far until the season is over. :nomore: She got out this weekend but we couldn't go more than a couple miles before we had to turn around. The Lovebugs like shiny things and water so they hang out near strip malls, lakes, etc. Right around my neighborhood they don't get too bad but last year I learned where NOT to go during LB season. I got up for a saturday run with Sky and we were off to our usual drive spot which includes some very nice winding roads away from the traffic around a lake. Everything was fine with no LB in sight. It was a bout time to turn around and I went to make a left on a state road to get on it a minute before turning around. As soon as I made that left I saw the error of my ways. THEY "the others" were everywhere!! Swarming like locusts from a biblical plauge! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Well, I just wanted to stop and put it in reverse but it was a 55 mph road with cars coming up fast! :nomore: I had to step on it for about 100 feet of extreme torture before having a spot I could make a U-turn. Skybaby has been traumatized ever since and refuses to go more than a few miles from the house during LB season. Im the MAN

It's not that bad, as long as you keep your mouth closed.

It looks like they are pretty much gone around the Tampa area. (for now)

if it's not Lovebugs, it's pollen

I bet the radiator is good and clogged. Probably could use a good blowin' out.

the only issue with those buggers is they etch paint quickly, Poorboys Bugsquash for me.

Keep your speed just under 45mph, and they don't splat, they bounce.

That's about what the Highlander looked like after driving from Naples to Atlanta. Horrible. I hate them Damn things.

hell you don't even have to drive. they come find your car when it's parked and kamakaze your ride. not too mention those damned seagulls who just fly around looking for freshly washed cars to #### on.

I once rode my bike thru a swarm of Luv bugs. It blotted out my headlight. Once thru the swam I had to stop and clean all the guts off the bike and me, new shirt, jeans and sox.

But, still as Nick says, better bugs than snow.

Oh Man i dont envy that lot.... Certainly puts what we get in the uk to shame, more like a hive of bees on there...

As for the Motorbike oh boy i had a bee hit the back of the throat once... While riding.... Talk about gagging...
