Well I'm sitting at a customer site waiting for him to show up with his f-650 dump truck. Been here 30 min already. If you didn't know a pet peeve of mine is being late.

Oh well at least I can read the forums while I wait.

Time is money, buddy. I assume he'll be charged accordingly for your time. If not, they have no reason to be on time.

Thats terrible Jason

Can't stand ppl who are late. I personally would've already headed for home

Well he just called me and it should be here any minute. And I was suppose to detail his bike tomorrow night but that has now turned into his 20ft boat. So I'm getting my money on that. This guy also brought me 3 other trucks that are part of his company.

Sometimes, I reckon, it's best not to bite the hand that feeds you. :)

Patience is a virtue and you seem to have loads of it.

Customers are like snowflakes; no two are the same......

He did show up. Over an hour late, which ate into the daylight I had to work with. I did finish it up before the sun set, but I really had to push it. Overall it came out good. It's one of those trucks that you could spend hours on end cleaning the interior and it will still be dirty. His other 3 trucks were similar. So, I cleaned it best I could with my time constraints then dressing it with 303. The flooring is this textured plastic/rubber. It's a PITA to clean. I hit it 3 times with OPC diluted 3:1 and a stiff brush and it was still dirty in areas. But for the amount he was paying (not too much since he gets a discount for bringing me his fleet) he wasn't complaining at all. Didn't even bother looking at it when I was done. Which is fine. He didn't complain!

As for not biting the hand that feeds you, I certainly know that! I didn't make a big deal of him being late. I just got to work as soon as he arrived. And now that I'm doing his boat tonight I'll be making up for my time from last night.

This is my point ^

Anyone who shows up late for an appointment automatically gets the "show" off to a bad start. I've just never been the type that will tell someone "oh, its ok that you were an hour late. My time is worthless to me anyway"

Glad you got the job done Jason. Is the boat already sitting out waiting on you?

I hear you and I really hate having to wait. If your going to be late at least call me and let me know. I could have run out and grabbed something to eat or something while I waited.

He agreed to leave the door open to his shop so I can get to work on the boat as soon as I get there. So, hopefully I'll be home some what earlier tonight. Didn't get home until after 9pm last night.

Well, your a better man then me Jason

If I were you, I would call him right now and remind him about leaving the door unlocked

Jason, I have that same flooring in my truck and if you use one of those DA brushes, you can knock out dang near anything in under 10 minutes. Comes out looking new every time I use it.

That's a good idea...i'll have to remember that next time around. I always forget I have the brushes for the PC.

If its a dump truck with rubber flooring, I would take a hose to it :detailer:
