Any bookworms in the forum?

I love to read when I have the chance. One of my biggest joys is seeing both of my twin daughters following my lead. I have a Nook that I take to work (I work overnights) and use it religiously.

Historical Fiction:
Anything by Steven Pressman, Gates of Fire being my favorite
Bernard Cornwell : Richard Sharpe series and The Saxon StoriesRobert Harris: Fatherland, Pompeii, Imperium
Non Fiction:
Bill Bryson: A Walk in The Woods / In a Sunburnt Country / A Short History of Nearly Everything. Excellent travel writer with a fantastic sense of humor
Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides

Sci-Fi:
KOP / EXKOP books by Warren Hammond. A fantastic blend of crime noir mixed in a realistic sci-fi setting.
The Last Centurion by John Ringo
Robopocalypse
World War Z
anything by Philip K. D..K
Thrillers:
James Patterson
Robert Ludlum

Thanks for the list. I will check some of those books out. How do you like your nook? I bought myself a kindle, only thing is that the screen is prone to breaking. I am on my second one!

I like the Nook very much. To be honest, I imagine the ease and usability of the Nook and Kindle to be about the same. I think the Kindle edges out the Nook in number of books available (however both are capable of receiving hundreds of thousands of books). The new Nook color is a nice blend of eBook reader capabilities and some tablet functions. I have the the original Nook (wifi).
 
I found a kindle at work, called up amazon and sent it too them. I won't lie, i was going to keep it for myself...than I saw the digital price of Kindle books and said WTF and gave it up.

I hate we're moving more and more into digital distribution but NONE of the savings are being passed on to the consumers MOST of the time.

I hear you on that one. I just got one so I could have many books in one place. The older books are a decent price about 5 bucks, of course the newer books are more expensive. What I don't like is the fact that you can't see the books. I love to stack my bookshelf with all the books I have read
 
19.99 for a paper back copy, 34.99 for the kindle edition.

Made no sense IMO.
