I just got lectured by my husband. Topics

1.) You have too much stuff
2.) I could throw away half of it and you would never know.
3.) All you really need is dish soap, armorall, some turtle wax and towels from lowes.

I love him and would try to educate him, but he knows more about car paint care than me (or so he thinks) So I just listened to him and said "Great idea" about 4-5 times.

I'm in the same boat, but gradually "educating" my wife. I just did a very basic detailing in her car and she loved it, so at least for now, I'm good to go investing in pads and chemicals...:D I already placed my order form AG last week...hello! I was not going to wait for the green light! ;)

Jen, my wife says 1 & 2 of your husband. Sadly she is right.

Tell him you need to purchase as many detail products in an attempt to stimulate the economy again. :xyxthumbs:

My wife tells me; "you have something in from Autogeek"......:dunno:

Jenn, you are making this too complex. We men don't like to admit this, but we really are very simple creatures. So, just follow the simple steps below to put an end to these lectures.

Step 1: Tell him that NEW car detailing stuff really, really, really turns you on.
Step 2: Make believe step 1 is true and act like it each time you get new stuff.
Step 3: Add him to the AG mailing list(s).

Trust me, if you follow these three simple steps, you will then have an endless supply of new car detailing stuff. ;):D

I know he is right....I just hate to admit it.

Jenn, thats awful. I think you need to remind him that he has his hobbies and you have your hobbies, and that you need to support each other.

My wife encourages my detailing hobby and is happy that it is something that I get so much enjoyment out of.

That's a partnership! What you do makes her happy! And I'm sure it's works both ways too.

Very true ... I do lots of little things to support her hobbies, it makes me happy that she has things that make her happy as well.

We have a great relationship :)

Do like we do when ya'll lecture us....nod your head and say "yes dear...you're right"...cause

number a) he ain't gonna clean your stuff up...thats too much work
and number b) all you REALLY need is some Australian Gold Tanning Extender lotion :dblthumb2:

it's a hobby. geeze! or a obsession. i live for my saturday morning details. hell, i am up at 5:30 am. hit the driveway about 6am and go to town on my 2010 canyon. crazy? you bet. it's therapy for me after a long hot boring week at work. my gf really does not say much about my obsession or collection. i thought i found heaven when i got my foam gun. you could really be blowing your $$$ on worse things in life. for me i will admit it's OCD. i just love detailing and driving a spotless ride. if AG had their own CC i would be in deep. love the hobby and what a great bunch of people here that SHARE the PASSION!

You were a lot nicer than I would have been......
Comments # 1 & 2 would have started the countdown and #3 would have set off the explosion.

threaten him with divorce ... it "once" worked for me !

I'll pass. I love the man he just cracks me up sometimes. I guess our relationship is somewhat backwards at times. I work, he's a stay at home husband. I detail, he likes to watch movies. I eat, he shops. He is the hardheaded one...and I am the one that says "yes dear"
