Well up until today,I have used my AG Metro MasterBlaster for drying customers/personal vehicles, with excellent results.
As I was just finishing up drying one of my DD's,the nozzle on the end of the hose flew off.Not where it has the attachment clip BUT the actual nozzle tore away from it's molded housing:

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue but I have only used the MB a dozen or so times.I absolutely luv this unit but this really blows (pun untended) :awman:

I have had the exact same thing happen to mine. Luckily the nozzle didn't fly into the paint. It has been parked on a shelf for awhile now. My leaf blower is more reliable.

Yeah when mine had failed, the nozzle had hit the rear quarter of my 300 but thank goodness the nozzle is rubber and only put a small defect that wiped off the CQuartz with ease.
Still sucks bad because I don't want to be without this unit for drying!

I had high hopes for it as well. It worked great till the nozzle tried to kill me. I just haven't had the will to get a new hose for it yet.

Did any of you contact Metro directly ?? Last time I called them for some questions they were more then happy to help .

Much like an industrial shop-vac the attachment threads onto the hose, threads are visible in pics. Every once in awhile tighten her right up. Maybe some loctite,or something similar if it's really loose.
Also, I believe them to be reverse threads.

No doubt their customer service is excellent. I just haven't had the time to delve into yet. It's on my to-do list for this week though.

I purchased my MasterBlaster thru AG,and sent them a PM.I'm not complaining about Metro/AG's customer service,I'm complaining about a product with a possible problem.
Just a courtesy heads up for AG forum members. :)
(please see below)

You are correct snowking, the threads are functional and are reversed.Maybe some type of plastic/rubber glue will prevent this from happening again.

To all that have purchased or own a Metro MasterBlaster 8hp dryer, please take note that the hose nozzle does indeed thread onto the hose itself and you should check periodically to ensure it is tight.
As snowking mentioned, maybe some type of adhesive/glue may be needed to keep the nozzle secure and from working itself off the end of the hose.

Again, thank you to snowking for pointing out a solution :xyxthumbs:

This happened on my first use, but I had a solid hold of it on my hand, so there was no danger of damage.

If you give it a 2 second check and make sure it is threaded on tight before every use (reverse thread [counter clockwise]) I have never had an issue since. A spot of glue may be a good solution as well, though it will need to be high temp glue.

Glad I could help. While I don't own this tool we have some of the shop Vacs at work and this happens frequently.

I've been wanting one but this worries me. Is it only coming in greased or is it breaking off?

That sucks for sure, but a Catastrophe? Little bit dramatic I think.....

I thought the nozzle tore from the hose!
It seemed the ribbed profile of the hose was just that, when in fact it's also the thread profile as well.
Wasn't trying to be fricken dramatic!

Use some silicone sealer/adhesive on it before you screw it back on, so if you ever need to take it off in the future you can. Glue may be a little to permanent.

I appreciate your advise (Thank You) and may take it into consideration but I can't think of a reason for the nozzle NOT to be attached to that part of the hose as there is another spot that clamps the two together.
When the nozzle unscrewed from the hose, the air velocity/pressure clearly dropped from having no nozzle on the end of it.From stepping down from the hose I.D to the nozzle I.D/outlet,is where this unit really picks up huge air pressure.

My MB did the same thing last week, but did not cause any damage.
For the cost of this unit it should not have this issue.

In a sense, it's actually a feature. You have the option to swap attachments if needed, as well as replacing a possibly broken piece instead of the hose and all. With a little care and a quick check I don't see this being an issue.

I would agree if the system worked better for changing attachments. A feature should not cause failure in the middle of use without choosing to do so.

I spend a great deal of time caring for my products thank you very much.

My recollection is there was a little bit of glue from the factory. I got mine years ago, but I had to take the hose apart because I added an extension hose. As has been said, you need to keep an eye on these connections or add a drop of glue (as noted, a lot of glue might interfere with a future desire to disassemble).

I got my Metro Vac n blow back in July. I have used it probably 4 times. I've already noticed the coupling separating from the hose. Not liking that, but I will try the mentioned solution if need be.
