with things being tight this year. whats your budget?

$0-$50
$50-$200
$200-$500
$500-$1000
well over $1000
 
Girlfriend - a little over $1000
Brother - $200
Mom - $250
Dad - $250
Myself - So far around $800.

So well over $1000 then.
 
Spent enough on my wife and family to keep them happy ;)

Also donated a good amount to a couple different charities. Life has been very good to me this past year, everyone in my family is healthy, I have a great job that pays me very well, been getting lots of good details, so I figured I could give back a little bit.
 
$50-$200 is good enough for me. I'm lucky I still have everybody's Christmas gifts from last year wrapped up in my house. I never shipped them out last year. Oooops!
 
I usually try to keep it to around $50 a person, a bit more on the GF. The $50 each applies to Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother-in-law.

I spent less then $5 on my parents and 2 sisters thanks to a gift card a buddy of mine got me and amazon offering a good incentive for signing up for one of their credit cards =). His gift I was not so lucky on and had to spend about $35 on for him and his wife. Thankfully I am not dating a future ex-girlfriend right now so I have no one to shop for. =)
 
$200 on my ex girlfriend. Its also her birthday. thats my budget.

Pretty sure I'm a bit over the $1000 mark now that I actually think about it!
 
Not very much. Probably no more than a $100 total. No job and Im trying to avoid tapping into my savings.

I may just make some sort of coupon to give everyone free paint corrections!
 
Hmm, well I have enough flight points/hotel/car rental points that I didnt have to pay anything for the girlfriend and I to go to a Red Wings game in Detroit (Beyond stoked btw). If I had to pay for that, well it wouldnt have been happening, but it'd probably have been close to 900 for the weekend, including the tickets. Bought some other stuff for her as well. Have two buddies that we set a limit on, and then my parents and the girlfriends parents. If I had to pay it, it'd be well over 1000, but as it stands, I'll be spending around 500ish
 
I ran about $40 a piece for the parents, maybe $20 for my brother. The other $600? Well that was something I needed.
I was hoping to buy for some friends, like a secret santa thing, but nothing came together.

You guys crack me up, spending more on a girlfriend/boyfriend (something temporary) than on your parents. ;)

We really don't set a budget but spend well over $1k. :)
