Always wanted to try this product, so eventually got around to picking it up, i diluted per instructions 1:3 , i did not have a spare foaming nozzle for this, so I used the bottle shown

therefore agitation was required (even though most wheel cleaners should be agitated anyway)

Overall its a good product and I will be using be conducting more trials, its great that it's concentrated, but then you might not have a quality foaming spare bottle, which can cause a dilemma, however as I've found with chemical guys every product of theirs is at least "good" I'd say diablo is a great wheel cleaner, but personally I prefer mothers wheel and tire cleaner for ease of use and versatility

bump for bogo, definitely a great buy / great bang for buck

Picked some up just because of sale and because AG owed me a Daytona Jr Speed Brush from the sale the other month. Can't wait to try it out.

I have been using their Sticky Wheel Cleaner if foams up with agitation. The trick is to have the wheel just slightly wet. Have 2 bottles of this on the way. This stuff mixed 5:1 is as good as most safe wheel cleaners strait. Best deal out there for wheel cleaners.

have you tried it with a foaming sprayer?

No. I just hose down the wheel and wait a minute. Then I spray and agitate with a Montana Boars Hair Wheel Brush. The Sticky Wheel Cleaner foams up almost like shaving cream. That brush is awesome. Also, I spray it on a Daytona for the barrels and it foams up there.

I use this and DP wheel cleaner. I like both. However, the CG is the better buy because its dilute able. I only get the DP when its on BOGO. Both foam up pretty well after you agitate them.

I agree, I've used both :D
however wouldnt you much rather have it foam out of the bottle with a foaming sprayer (if it works as planned) to have it dwell some/better
can you link me on the brush, I'm not super satisfied with my wheel brush

This is what I'm talking about

The brush is from AG. It's just their small boars hair wheel brush.

how does it perform for you on the tires? that's awesome foaming though, sticky didn't foam like that for me with my brush!

Tires and wheels stay pretty clean in general. Wheels are OptiCoated and tires are coated with Tuff Shine. As you can see, once you coat with Tuff Shine, your tires don't really get dirty. It makes them more like paint than rubber. No brown nastiness from dressings. Most everything on the tire just rinses off. So, you really just need to give the tires a rinse off and wipe with any type of soap. That's enough to clean them. I wash my Pathfinder once a week, so it really doesn't get too dirty.

swanicyouth - Thanks for the information on the Sticky Wheel Cleaner. How does it compare to the WG Wheel Cleaner if you have used it?

Haven't used it. Price is crazy for 16 oz. for $8.95 I can get SWC from CG for 16oz. That's 56 CENTS an ounce (undiluted). It dilutes 5:1. So, it takes 2.7 ounces of SWC to make 16 oz of wheel cleaner solution. 2.7 ounce x 56 cents = $1.49 to make 16 oz of SWC.

So, to make 16 ounce of SWC it costs me $1.49 - only NINE CENTS an OUNCE (assuming water is free) . To buy 16 ounces of Wolfgang Wheel Cleaner it's $19.99 ($1.25 an ounce - or THIRTEEN TIMES MORE AN OUNCE than SWC).

Now, I'm not a cheap skate or afraid to spend money on good products, however, I think SWC is pretty awesome at any price. It just happens to be cheap. So, I'm sticking with that or Diablo (if on BOGO like last week). SWC does everything I want it to do and does it well. My search has stopped. I'll buy DP Wheel Cleaner on BOGO (64 oz for $20.00; or 31 cents an ounce).

Unless it cleaned the wheels for me, I wouldn't buy it if its was BOGO, BOGT, or BOGF.

i'm with you on swc and diablo, I honestly didn't notice much difference in performance of the two, swc is a more watery solution yet seems to clean relatively the same, and dilutes higher :dunno I enjoyed them both but diablo smells great :D
I always like price break downs, nice work

Thats funny. Tuff Shine is like a CQuartz for your tires. It is the dressing as well. I think you would be crazy to use any other dressing on a daily driver, as you can see how clean it keeps the tires. I just love the stuff, should be product of the year.

The thing with Tuff Shine is, there is a slight learning curve and the initial application can be quite labor intensive, as it involves getting your tires surgically clean (even new tires need this process) before the coating is applied. If they are not cleaned correctly, the coating will peel. Best thing to do is to clean them day 1, let vehicle sit overnight, and clean them again next day. It requires a LOT of water and rinsing if you have been a frequent user of convention dressings.

Once the coating is applied, tires stay clean and dressed looking (not "shiny") and can be "cleaned" by reqular car wash or whatever else is at hand. I just use whatever surfactant based wheel cleaner I'm using. You can see in the pics, Tires shed no brown nastiness when cleaning. It's almost like cleaning your paint.

Not to jack your thread with Tuff Shine, but it's such an awesome product. It's an awesome company as well. I had some initial issues and questions and one of the company's OWNERS called me on my cell phone and mailed me out some additional product FREE.
