Incredibly Cheap Finds

I just picked up a 1 Gal size of Megs Gold Class Shampoo at Costco yesterday for an incredible price of...6.99. I think the regular price was 11.99 and I've kinda walked by it quite a few times until yesterday I saw its been reduced to 6.99 with a $5 mfr discount. Figured I can't go wrong with that price.

For that price if you follow the directions on how much to use, that gallon will last you for years and cost you about a nickel per wash.

That's still one of my favorite shampoos. It's super slick and super inexpensive. I'm using up the rest of my duragloss shampoo and then I'm probably going to stick to that stuff. I live in an apartment now and mainly use rinseless washes. That leaves me with no use for a shampoo except for a few rare occasions.

While at AutoZone this evening picking up a new set of plugs for my wife's Mazda 6, I needed to spend another $10.00 to get my points and decided to pick up some Meg's Mirror Brite wheel cleaner, it was $9.99 but if you buy 2 it's $3.00 off, so I picked up 2, you can never have too many bottles of color changing wheel cleaner!

Ah, Changing points and setting the dwell. A lost art! :)

Living in an apt shouldn't be a showstopper for shampoo wash. I take my car often to the self serve wash and do a full wash and use my own shampoo in a bucket during the soap stage. I do rinse less washes and waterless washes as well but you cannot clean wheels well with those. Needs running water.

Plus its monsoon/dust storm season here and we were blanketed by a gigantic dust storm on Tue which left a ton of dust on the car. Too much dusting off for rinse less so I decided to take it to the self serve and do a wash and rinse.

Its handy to have a shampoo and bucket (costs like $3 at Lowes) for regular washes. Problem is I already have a couple of shampoos apart from this and I picked this up because it was too cheap to pass up. I could have picked up a few and be set with car shampoo for life :)

It says to use 1 oz per gallon of water. So using like 3 gal per wash, I could probably wash 40+ times at the least.

Jimmy's good at finding stuff.

Yo, J. How about Waldo?

And Carmen Sandiego too while you're at it. Thanks, bud.

Jimmy's like my cousin Vinny. He sees that stuff we all miss.

While not as good as a lot of your Cheap Finds, Advance Auto seems to have a few products on clearance. I got a couple of bottles of DUB wheel cleaner for $3.55 and I got an Eagle 1 Surface Prep Pad for 5.4. There were other cheap finds, but nothing that really caught my eye.

Also, the clearance items were not on a clearance rack but still on the shelves with red clearance tags on the shelf bases.

Five gallon paint buckets from Lowes or Home Depot. Same darn thing as what some folks would call a wash bucket. I guess that fancy insignia on the bucket makes it a wash bucket. If it can hold paint it sure as heck can hold soap and water for about $5 ea. and you can get gamma lids for them for another $8 each.

Not sure if someone already mentioned this but the Firehouse subs near me sells their 5 gallon pickle buckets for $2 each cash, no tax or anything. They're GREAT - sturdy as can be, usually with a lid with a rubber seal.

I come home tonight and find this in my room...

My 1st thought was my brother borrowed it for 1 of his art projects.. But no, it turns out my cousin bought it on Craigslist for $150.

The more I look at it the more I like the cart it came with. It's an absolute gem of a cart! This thing would be so good as a detailing cart wow. He scored.

I hope there's a product close out run again, we all had fun back in the day posting pics of us all clearing shelves and taking names, LOL! I remember TW rinseless, TW tire coating, ECO TOUCH products, etc. Keep an eye out guys, thank you!

I picked up a new 50 foot extension cord for $9.99 and two plugs that have three outlets for $0.97 each yesterday at Walmart.

Just had some work done on my daughter's Elantra... new tires, brakes and rotors.... got a $35 rewards card in the mail.... :-)

Went by Advanced Auto Parts and found Griots Garage 35oz Speed Shine on clearance for $4.99. Bought the only two they had for less than the 22oz bottle sitting next to it ($10.99)
