So while meeting my girlfriend's parents I had my car parked in their driveway, they live out in the country on alot of acreage and have cattle roam around the property. The day went great up until I got home. I got out of the car and noticed I had cow #### down the driver side of my car and a very big dent on my driver quarter panel, with cracked paint. So I called AAA filed a claim and explained to them that what sounds like happened was the cow took a #### next to my driver door/ quarter panel, then turned around and as it turned it smeared #### down the side THEN bumped into my car. It was covered under comprehensive so my insurance won't go up but here's the pics..

When I got home:

Thats really... well... crapy
I was thinking "Man that's Bull Crap!!!"

All joking aside, sorry to see that this happened to your ride.

I came out of work one day to find a similar dent in my car. It wasn't a cow that did it, but rather a "Jackass" had bounced his Harley Davidson Fat Boy off the side of it then decided to act as if he knew nothing about it until he realized the witness respected me more than him.

It gives you a sick feeling in your stomach when you first see a dent like that in a car that you try so hard to keep in great shape.

Exactly, I was so pissed off, not but the day before we spent 5hrs getting the oxidation off the car and got it looking pretty much like new again and then this happens. Unbelievable how everything seems to target nice cars.

This is why I decided to go up.

My last car was a Datsun 260Z and it was hit twice like you show only smaller dents and after the second time it was hit I remembered this type of stuff never happened to me when I had my first big truck so I sold the Z an bought a 1975 Jimmy.

I feel your pain....

:dunno:

Damn...that sucks!! Maybe you can find a body shop to work out a deal with repairing the panel and painting the bumper covers and hood??? 1200.00 seems a little high for that dent...

Damn...that's the side I polished...and a cow wiped his a$$ on it?? lol

I think the cow was temporarily blinded due the the reflectiveness of your paint. I suspect the cow now wandered off course, bumped into your car which naturally scared the crap out of it..... thus ending the story....:dunno:...maybe...

Dave I would love to have the shop do my bumpers and hood, but I don't think they'd be able to wiggle that into my insurance claim =\ if I could that would be amazing!
Yup that cow used my car as his toilet paper, I see a tasty steak in my near future...

LMAO Bobby that could actually be believable haha who knows!

I was thinking steak tonight. lol Have you talked to any of the body shops. I doubt they would be able to do all of it for the 1200.00...but they may work with you some...if you could get all 3 of the other panels painted for 2-300.00 that would be a pretty good deal. Some shops will work with you some won't...

I had Ford do an estimate, came out with $900.
More than likely go with them because I know I can also get out of the insurance deductible there. If they could somehow include the price of the bumper covers, and hood in the claim that would be awesome but I just don't have $300 right now to get it done =\

That really did make me laugh out loud!!! You have a way with words Bobby!!!:dblthumb2:

You guys are kill'n me. Low speed ass swirls are the worse :buffing: as for the repair cost it seems normal. Panel respray and blend is normally about $1000 add dent repair and your there.

If you want other panels done like the hood now is the best time to do it. You can ask the repair shop what you can do to reduce their labor costs for the repair and reevaluate.

If you need a body shop let me know. The one I used to fix a few things for me did a great job. It's a little drive but they do great work.

Well now you guys got me thinking of how I could possibly include my bumper covers and hood in this LOL!
All ideas are welcome here, if I can somehow get them painted and get my damage fixed as well it would be the best 21st birthday present for me. Lol and yes I am turning 21 on Sunday.

Just got back from another body shop and got two estimates. We spoke about using bondo because of where the dent is located makes it hard to remove the dent. The other choice was replacing the whole quarter panel but doing that would run me $3,000 which I'm sure the insurance wouldn't like that. So as a kind of a bribe I used the 2nd estimate which has the bondo work AND bumper covers and hood repaint work on there for $1300. What do you guys think? Think I might be able to get away with this? :P

Update: Well that didn't work. Tried to be smooth about it but didn't work out.. Damn..
