Took truck to car wash to spray most of the salt and sand off.
Come home and
Foam gun using CG citrus wash + gloss with a few drops of dawn
Let soak then rinse. Refoam and do the GDM. Wheels with BF wheel cleaner or CG diablo then tires/wheel wells with Meg's APC at a 4:1 ratio. (Does this ratio work)
Rinse, blow dry and use WW super guzzler to dry of truck.

UDM + LC CCS blue pad and Menz 4500. I tried the Meg's mf kit with D300 and 205 test spot and it left a haze. Got a sample of Menz 4500 to do a test spot and see how it works. If this works I will then buy some Menz products. Not really sure what to put after getting the swirls out.(if that works) I have pinnacle signature series II. And thinking about getting CG V7/blacklight, might even opti coat it again.

Treat all plastic, rubber, vinyl with CG VRP. And coat wheels with poorboys wheel sealant.

I have these Menzerna color lock,
Poor boys black hole show glaze,
Optimum GPS also to use. And various CG washes, mr pink, honey dew, citrus wash+g, maxi suds II.
Thank you for all your info and help!

Good luck on a beautiful truck. I can't wait to try sf4500 myself. Looking foward to pics!

Any thoughts or something I should do different please let me know. This is my first attempt.

I have done a Black 4 door Tundra short bed!
Man oh man it's a bunch of work!
So I would find the product/pad that works for you in a test spot.

I started with Poorboys Pro Polish with a Chemical Guys Green Hex logic pads. In some areas I used Pro polish 2 with Green pad.

Duragloss 601/501 also works well with white pads.

CG Blacklight/ V7 is a winner!

Microfiber pads caused marring.
YMMV

Best of luck..

Yeah my Meg's finishing mf pad hazed it up on a test spot with d300 and 205. What Step would you put the V7 and blacklight? Do you put them on with foam pads or by hand? I have bfwdps coming also soon I hope. I'm praying the Menz 4500 will work with a blue CCS pad.

You can put down a wax after blacklight then final wipe down with v7. Trust me you will love it. Blacklight and v7 are awesome but only protect for about 3 weeks stand alone

Never had a problem with the MF system hazing or marring even on soft paint. Depends on user skill and paint type. Let us know if Menzerna works for you.

Yeah I'm sure the MF kit was certainly users fault for the marring. Just not sure what I could have done wrong. I used finishing pad with d300 then finishing pad with 205. Left a slight cloudy look and very fine scratches. I will do a test spot of the 4500. It's a new blue ccs pad so what's the best way to prime it? A little QD spritzed on it then an X patterning product. After primed then 3 pea sized dots?

I find the best way to prime a pad is to put enough product on it where you can completely cover the surface of the pad by smearing and rubbing the drops or streaks on it with your hand. You dont want to over saturate though. Just even coverage. After that just add a few pea sized drop amounts on the pad when going to the next panel/area like you said. Ive never sprayed qd on the pad before hand but it wont hurt to do so.

Ive heard of this happening on some black cars with this system, but I have not run across this. Sounds like you may need a super polish to finish it out. Maybe something like Menzerna. One thing I did notice about using the megs system is the initial priming of the cutting pad with the D300. You need to completely cover the pad and work the product into all the fibers before you start. When I first got the system I was only puting about 5 or 6 drops and wasnt getting enough cut or the proper results. I thought that was how to do it becasue its what was shown in the demo video. However once I primed it thoroughly it solved my problems. Cleaning the pad out frequently with compressed air helps a TON too.

Ok, we'll I used the mf finishing pad for both D300 and 205. I did not use the D301. I used a nylon brush to clean the pad every time I lifted it off the truck. I did not use the D300 with the cutting pad. Do you use the cutting pad for 301 or 300?

Whaaa? You need to use the cutting disc for D300. Finishing disc for 301.

The area wasn't that bad so I used the finishing pad for both.

Exactly! The D300 MUST be used with the cutting disk. It was specifically engineered to be used with the D300 cutting compound. Let us know how it works out :).
