I normally do a quick onr wash but my neighbours are all looking at me weird since its middle of winter and its freezing out and im doing a wash lol
anyhow did this a little different.

- went to coin op and did a power rinse on the car just using the rinse option no soap
- pulled out my optimum detailer and went to town
this was my first ever detailer that i bought and i am very impressed the smell was so good i sprayed the winter mats as well.
-application was very easy and the gloss and slickness it leaves is A+
:xyxthumbs::props::dblthumb2: :xyxthumbs: 5/5 thumbs up

This product looks promising, and being from Optimum I expect it to work really well.

Car looks clean! What does this product smell like?

fruity/sweet and addictive

If you haven't tried Optimum products you are missing out. I use OID, OPC, OC, ONRWW, Tire shine, ONR.

I bought a bottle of this along with a bottle of CG V7 to compare the two. The Optimum Instant Detailer edged out V7 in slickness and paint feel. It may be because I've been using Optimum Car Wax lately and the two products just work better together.

if you find any streaking with Optimum, you can dilute it or use on a wet finish and still see notable gloss.

a water dampened microfiber will fix streaks with OID or OCW with ease. It just levels the polymers/wax in the overapplication area.

Thank you for that info. I love Optimum products but I had given up on the gloss enhancer due to streaking on my black Tundra.

Someone recommended using this as a drying aid and it does work great for that. No streaking at all and I use more spray. The concentrate is a pretty good deal.

OID is an awesome product. I love to try new products, but I could stick with OID from now on and be perfectly happy!

I am nearly done with my OID concentrate. they only thing I didn't like about it is that it streaks badly on glass. I recall this was mentioned either in the forums or on the product. UWW+ takes over this year.

also if you experience streaking, you can dilute 1:4 and it'll fix the issue.

this stuff i love makes my whole garage smell fruity (no homo)
and it leaves a nice slick finish.
i love the fact that you can dilute it i have a 32 oz concetrated bottle made a 36oz bottle and theres still tons of concentrate left

oid is a great product . I like it very much . use as drying aid also . if u like this product , get uself the concentrated bottle and u can make up crap load at 1:3 . I also like uww+ for the same purposes .

What happens to the underlying LSP when you se OID? Does it alter the look and water behavior completely?
