Which Products do you wish you NEVER BOUGHT?

-Zaino: too much money for a product that works just as well as any other sealant. Zaino nazis also get on my nerves.
-NXT QD
-Pinnacle black onyx tire gel: very expensive and slings real bad. I now use AA tire foam and Extreme gel.
-P21s wax: looks nice, but no durability
-Megs #7: impossible to use
-DP wheel glaze: on my clear coated wheels a conventional sealant lasts much longer

That's all I can think of right now. Everything else worked fine, I just might have replaced it with something more economical.

Wouldn't that be people that are against Zaino? So you hate people that hate Zaino?

CRAP! I did a "quote" on the wrong person, I should have tagged the first poster instead of you Bill.

But regardless, that was pretty damn funny...

...straight from Websters....

"Zaino Nazi- (N.) Definition: Any person who uses Zaino religiously, who can not understand why someone does not use Zaino. This person also refuses to accept or even acknowledge that other detail products exist. Zaino Nazis will also send a lynch mob to anyone's residence who thinks Zaino is not the end all be all of detail products. They accept no other way of doing things and will chastise you until you give up......be cautious of the Zaino Nazis."

Over on the GTO boards, if you don't use Zaino, or speak ill of it, people take it personally, like you mugged their grandmother or somthing. So Quantim0 and I came up with the "Zaino Nazies".

And to add a few more things I wish I didn't waste time on besdies Zaino...

-Megs #7 glaze-streak and smeres...and looks like old mustard.
-Poorboys tire shine (I love the rest of the line though).
-Everything I bought OTC before I found out about Autogeek (this excluds OTC Duragloss).

Sorry - WG is all but gone, the dab of Sealer I have left is going on a beater (freebie for a friend) , pads are being traded to another detailer for some PO85.

I bought a can of Megs mirrir glaze #26 last year and I tried a for a single time, its the badest thing I´ve ever had. Bad durability and others.

I agree that there are people that smoke a little bit too much of the Zaino pot, but you cannot say that it's a bad product.

Do you hate it because it has so many religious followers, or do you truly not like the product whatsoever?

If so, can you please share?

I really don't like the product. I did buy it (and the price is a rip off) and used it. It went on well and came off easy, but it did not give a good look to me. It left my metallic paint very sterile and boring looking. No depth, I didn't like it. I don't want to use a product that I have to apply 54 coats to get depth from it. Just a bland product, it does not offer the look that a good Carnuba does. And it only lasted about 2 months before it stopped beading (at the time detailing was not on the top of my list or enjoyable things to do like it is now, I wanted something that was realativly maint. free and looked good).

The leather conditioner was no better than a OTC one, tire stuff sucked, and the Z8, if not applied perfect, I got a ton of streaks. The only thing I still have from my Zaino kit that gets any use is the Z7 soap and Z6 on love bugs when I don't want to waste my other QD's. The clay kit I use for wheels, under rockers and bumpers, and my wheel wells after the track to get the rubber out. So the Z7 isn't bad (just too expensive when compared with other things out there that cost a fraction and do the same thing or better) and the Z6 is just another QD that smells like grape.

The religious Zaino fanatics who think it is better than God is just be an annoying interw3bz thing. It makes me laugh more than anything.

Zaino, ehh for the price
Cobra Chenile wash pad....biggest pile of garbadge on earth, was about as soft as a ton of bricks
I didn't like the look of the Collinite 476S
Wolfgang DGS, ehh
Wolfgang pad rejuv (overpriced re-label of snappy clean) (just use Dawn power dissolver, 2 bucks for 16oz)
Clay magic and Sonus gray clay, hate the stuff, haven't tried the other grades

Turtle wax ICE...but it led me to find better products, then I found AG. So I guess it was worth it, plus i'm getting refunded from Turtlewax cause I emailed them my product review. :)

Everything I bought OTC before I found out about Autogeek LOL...

Nimble, thanks for mentioning the Cobra MF Chenille wash pad. I had actually been eyeing that just to give it a try.

NO MORE! You saved me money buddy!

Thanks for sharing Greg. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was being defensive about Zaino, I just was interested in your thoughts on how you didn't like their products.

I have for one used it for a very long time, but since I've found AG I have been expanding my mind. You're so right though, a real Zaino freak has horse blinders on and will never try anything else.

I for one don't care for the Zaino clay. That garbage falls apart if it even comes in contact with car wash shampoo in the slightest way. JUNK! I like Z2 Pro and Z5, but you're right, there is a lack of depth and a "plastic" look to it. But it does last for a long time and I do use it under a good carnauba wax. Their Z8, I hear you. I have a full bottle right here that I used perhaps 5 times. Smears like a mother, it always pissed me off, not matter how lightly I used it.

I picked up the Zaino clay, Z1, Z2 Pro and Z5 the other day for $20 which I thought was well worth it.

Another item I bought (I really dont know why) are those cheap red rags from Wal-mart.

Can anyone tell me what those are used for?

they are great for getting oil off your hands after you change your oil and for wadding up and sticking in your gas nozzle if you've lost your cap LOL
