Which Products do you wish you NEVER BOUGHT?

Kinda funny about the Menz wash, for a company thats so highly touted with their other products, their wash gets slammed as horrible everywhere. You owuld think they would be able to make a good wash considering what they've done for polishes etc.

Remember the wash, spray, and wheel cleaner are all made by CMA and just use the Menzerna name under licensing agreement. They are not made nor endorsed by Menzerna in Germany.

Ahh was wondering, I thought there was no way a company like Menzerna could make such a crappy wash themselves.

hey surfer, can you tell me what you didnt like about the XMT glaze? I was thinkning of getting it, and most people dont seem to say anything bad about it...

Was just real watery like and got all absorbed into the pads, didn't make a difference on black or white, pretty much reminded me of Megs Cleaner Wax honestly. I think AG should redo it, pry better off just using XMT 360 instead, smells great though I don't even like grapes lol. RMG or CG EZ-Creme in comparison not only look sick on blacks but they make a noticeable difference on white as well, I use EZ-Creme b/c it looks as wet if not better then RMG and doesn't fade away after washing (pretty durable being an acrylic base).

TW Orange Car wash (Just trew it it away a few days ago)
Anything under Blue Coral
$20.00 wal-mart buffer
Mother's old clay
PB Wheel Cleaner (too strong and wouldn't rinse easy with ONR)
Anything that has the Black magic name on it

Those are the ones I remember...

Meguiar's NXT Speed Detailer... I didn't think Meguiar's was capable of making such a poor product

Really? I actually liked the NXT detailer.

The whole NXT line....they have poor performance....the only one that looked very good was the NXT paste wax...it looks very good when new on the paint..but seemed to fall of fast and paint felt grabby after about 3-4 weeks...

the detailers and fast wax was very bad....my kid used them on his bike since it has small painted areas and did not show streaks

unfortunately posts like this usually do more harm then good as they trounce of someones favorite product. I hope all will consider that and offer an alternative any why something was found to be better.

I see that a lot of people here dont like Turtle Wax. I think that Turtle Platinum wax in good and there spray detailer is very good.

I agree the TW Platinum line is a real sleeper....they are eras ahead of the NXT line...the tire and wheel cleaner...the Detailer and the paste wax all work very good....

I agree the Platnum line is pretty good stuff,I the paste and liquid wax and the detail'er,they offer a nice gloss.

Well I've bought a lot of gimmick products over the years. Most of them bought from Big Lots!I still do being they are usually only $2-$3,I won't spend more than that though.I actually purchased my TW Platnum products there and I like them quite abit,so sometimes you win!
I am also a Quick detail'er and spraywax junkie. So a far as the ones that were no good are:

Nu finish Cling Detailer, not a detail spay at all more of spraywax, very thick liquid, tough to work with and no slickness gloss improvement.I onlypaid about $1.50 on it!

Turtle wax Ice Detailer, just didn't like the overly bright look to it.

NXT detailer, thick viscosity, lack of slickness and sterile shine,I do love the NXT spraywax though!

Kit Wax Detailer, not a detail spray but a spray cleaner wax with a high solvent content

Dupont Teflon spraywax showroom shine version, terrible stuff, chalky,a pain to use with awful looking results

Eagle One Nano Wash N Wax, just wasn't impressed with performance, shine left behind

Lucas Slick Mist (detailer) cheesy shine.

I recieved my ONR today and was totally and was totally disappointed in it's performance as a QD'er,no slickness or gloss improvement, it actually reduced the slickness on a panel I tested it on!

Turtle wax ice: what's that all about: BUT Turtle wax Platinum ultra gloss detailer absolutely ROCKS. Btw love the smell (coconut) IMHO

My list -

When I was a super noob, I bought and tried formula1(also known as kit) at that time it seemed ok, but when I discovered megs nxt and gold class carnauba, kit seemed utter rubbish! (So I wish I had bought megs straightaway)

Turtlewax ice detailer
Turtlewax paste wax(was a dry powdery nightmare to remove and clothes up the mf

Nxt spray wax too thick, and chalky and used to clog up the mf.
UQW was amazing though!

Most of the spray on tire dressings, but now I try to use them for wheel wells or occasionally to dress the treads for that show car look! :P

Loads of other stuff that I used to buy, hoping to find a gem amongst the OTC products here!
