Reviews about the pads if you would recommend them or if I should just stick with lake country pads?

If you are going to go with the Meguiar's pads I recommend the 7.0 soft buff 2.0 pads as they are much easier to use and clean up compared to the standard 6.5 pads they have.

What machine, liquids, and backing plate do you have now?

I'm looking to buy the Meguiars Dual Action Polisher G110v2 so I need advice on a lot to be honest I was looking at the kits were they will give u pads and pad cleaner and the other kit with all that with little extra like bonnets and microfiber towels little more but I'm looking for a decent price all I want it for is polishing, cleansing lotion and waxing other than that i dont know need the compound as much but it would be nice to own one pad just in case just need low cut pads and some microfiber bonnets and terry cloth bonnets to remove polishes and waxes. Would it be cheaper to buy the buffer and buy pads and cleaner or better to just spend the money for the kit? I figure later down the road if I need something I will purchase it then

What is your price limit for everything?

Cleaners I have now are Meg's nxt wax gold class wax Meg's ultimate polish Meg's ultimate compound but now looking at the products I know what I want to try pinnacle clay, pinnacle cleansing lotion, pinnacle polish, pinnacle wax and then I want to try out wolf gang polish and waxes basically the two brands I want to try the most.... Also I think the back plating comes with buffer also what are the difference with hook and loop back plating? Or the Velcro one is the one I want...easy to switch pads so what brand can I buy for a Velcro pack plate sorry for all the questions... I just been stressing and confused about what I should buy and it's been holding me back to buying one till I finally figure out and get all my questions answered....thanks guys

Honestly I wouldnt recommend the Meguiars polisher. Your better off with the MORE POWERFUL Griots Garage DA, and its cheaper too. The Meguiars polisher is dissapointing to say the least, especially being from Megs.

Really wow I'm surprised I heard such great reviews about it and I thought it was Ideal is the Griots a 6inch buffer? I want a dual buffer I'm new to control settings on a buffer so I'm taking this is a nice beginners tool

Not to mention the 2 year warranty with the Griots Garage DA

This would be a great package for you.

Looking at it now reasonable price I like what they offer in the kits along with 2 year warranty you can't beat that I just have to read more about them but leaning towards this one now thanks guys for the help. Is this buffer universal along with the pads and to change back platings can you buy a Velcro back plate for easy bad switching with thus one also?

Dont get me wrong its a nice DA and does the job, but for the price why not get an even better DA with more torque? The Griots is a nice beginners tool price wise, any DA regardless if its a PC, Griots, Flex or Rupes any beginner can learn. Just like ANY tool theres always a learning curve. I use a Griots myself, great starter DA that can put out some amazing work in the right hands.

I think its a Lifetime Warranty through Griots if im not mistaking...could be wrong though.

From the description:
Griot’s Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital Polisher includes a 6 inch hook and loop backing plate. This backing plate is designed to accommodate 6.5 inch pads from Griot’s Garage, Lake Country, Cobra, and Meguiars.

Forgot to add...

As far as pads are concerned, you can never have enough pads. I would also look into the Lake Country HydroTech pads. Smack has alot of experience with them and can answer any questions you may have about them better than I can.

Yea I understand where you are coming makes sense I really appreciate the help what pads do you normally buy or would prefer?

I have Megs 7 inch 2.0 pads only because I get them locally at a great price. I have had no issue with them

I really appreciate the help guys if its a 6 inch buffer is it okay to use a 6.5 buffer pad or strictly 6inch

I prefer Megs pads because well, their AWESOME & I get consistant results with them. The earlier versions had delamination issues, since then they have been corrected. I really want to try some LC HydroTech pads next. Like I said, you can never have too many pads.

Whats a perfect example? You see that Maroon pad, thats Megs cutting pad designed for heavy compounds. Try using that on soft paint and youll be sorry you did. Megs doesnt even recommend you use that pad on a DA (but I do anyway), on hard paint it works fine. If you had soft paint, yet you still needed a bit more cut pad wise you would need to go with a different brand of pad that can deliver that, without being so stiff like the Megs cutting pad if that makes any sense.

Its all based on your backing plate. Each backing plate has a size limit on what pad is safe to use but yes you can use 7" pads, 6.5, 5.5...even 4" like what I use ->

You know anything about lake country pads I looked at their pad chart seems pretty easy to go by and choose the right pads
