The BEST wheel cleaner?

I love Brown Royal. But I noticed that the price increased. So I go with my number two choice. Simple Green. Pretty much everyone on detailing forums has the same opinion, and that is that SG, shouldn't be anywhere near a vehicle. But I have been using it with great results. I cut it 3:1 or 4:1. Spray the wheel, let it dwell for a half a minute or so, use my Daytona brush with car wash soap, and rinse. On heavier brake dust a second application, or more intense scrubbing, is needed. But my wheels come out lovely and no marring. Simple Green is cheap, much safer than most wheel cleaners, and much better in my opinion. On my chromes I will be using SOS pads. I know I know. Another taboo. But it is fast, easy, and very complete in cleaning chrome. And no scratching. Even though the mass majority will say I am wrong

Dear Friends

I've tried Detailer's Pro Series, Eagle One, Mother's All-Wheel Foaming Cleaner, Sonax Full Effect, and Iron X.

Even after more than a year, I'm still new to all of this, but, honestly, if your wheels get sealed, waxed, and/or glazed once a month, all you need is your regular car wash soap. That's true for the two cars I detail, anyway.

Eagle One and Mother's get extra points for being inexpensive and available at Walmart.

Sonax Full Effect is an impressive cleaner because it goes on fluorescent green and turns into a nasty purple wine as it does its thing.

Even though I know my wheels come clean with plain soap and water because I seal them regularly, after reading this thread I plan to try Diablo and Wolfgang's.

As for those wheels that've never had their barrels cleaned, soak those barrels well, allow about ten minute of dwell time, scrub with EZ Detail or Daytona brush, rinse, and repeat. They'll come clean eventually.
 
Meg's All Wheel and Tire cleaner is my fav at the moment. Foams very well, does a great job on both wheels and tires and I always grab it on sale at Walmart for less than 5.

So far, CG's Diablo mixed 3:1 has worked best for me.

Diablo is great. However, I like Sticky better. Dilution is higher and it foams better with a foaming sprayer. I just ordered a gallon of Sticky. You can make 6 gallons of wheel cleaner for $36.

That's a bargain so long as it doesn't require a lot more solution to do the same work.

I must investigate.

What kind of foaming sprayer do you recommend, swanic?

Chemical Guys drives me nuts. They have four dozen products for nearly every category.

I use "The Duck" from CG:

Its works great spraying foam with any cleaner that's liquid, including Sticky Wheel Cleaner. However, Diablo is too thick ( even diluted 4:1) and it won't foam.

The weird thing is, I went to order more of these, and I could only find them on CG's website with the bottle. I also use the Griot's Foaming Sprayer:

You can see it on the bottle of rubber Wagner above. It works well too. AG sells those.
 
Uber is the best I have tried to date. I am going to be trying the blackfire one soon. But that being said once I find some thing that works well, its hard for me to switch. I hear great things about Sonax and P21, but cant give my person opinion.
