first woman in the team....not sure if she will bring me more clients or not but seem trainable and dedicated to this detailing adventure.
except paint correction i think she can handle most jobs. :xyxthumbs:

first thing she said was: " i want a picture in the maserati " :))

any opinion pro/contra from some of you who had woman in the team... just so i am ready :))

What does she drive and could you see yourself in the paint?

Good luck buddy. She looks cute but maybe on the younger side?

I have 9 employees, all female. They are wired very differently than guys for sure. Like any employee, you need to make sure they know exactly what their responsibilities are. Women are emotionally driven and great employees once you understand them better. Good luck.

She is pretty.

My advice is ,

Tell her you are running a business. & Same rules apply, that apply for a man. There is no special treatment. You show up at 8am and leave at 5pm.

It seems like I need to leave Houston for Austin...

Something about them longhorns though... I don't know if they'd accept an Aggie.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using AG Online

Well irregardless of sex, I find the best detailers are the passionate ones

Shes young and if she loves the job, she will excel! Congrats and good luck!

Good!!! Women can do a nice detail for sure, I trained my ex-girlfriend
She started as an extra help for me, so I can finish earlier and then Go out.

At first I wasn´t sure, But on the 6months she help me, She did a great job, learn a lot.

As long as you put effort & Like what you do. The result will be Good!!!

aint it funny in the year 2013 that it's significant enough to start a thread about hiring a woman?

A girl I'm seeing for a few months now just stated she's willing to help me out. I have a mobile detailing truck, have tried out 3 different guys to work with, but just seems like they don't have the passion I do for detailing. I doubt she would !

Mad Men popped into my head lol

AG does it all the time, (it really does work to btw)

Look how many post Cosmin got from a simple post.

The saying does pop into my head: can't mix business with pleasure.

If you have a "diverse" talent pool out there, why ignore it?
After all...You are the HR Department of your Business, aren't you?

(And even though your new business associate appears young in chronological years)...
Having such a diverse workforce will reflect in multi-forms of this associate's assorted interests,
abilities, experiences... and perhaps even World-views:
And, IMO...This can only enhance the mission of your Business.

However...
I found that the hardest part of this type of hiring-experience that befalls the "HR-personnel",
is when it must be announced to the diverse-associate (that just so happens to be a family member)...
that, due to unforeseen circumstances, their services are no longer required.

Talk about an unhappy camper!!

Hopefully you'll never be faced with this "dark side" of nepotism.

:)

This is a pointless thread? A detailer is a detailer, if you're going to stereotype you might as well have said woman are better at cleaning. I'm the opposite of a feminist but this is pretty dumb
