Nice work so far man!

Thank you sir! You should see if you can make it to the northern Virginia detailing meet this Saturday as ill have some of my waxes there to be tried and it's a great time / exposure to a ton of products and tools

Thanks again :D

Drew, this was a great read and what a dedication you show all the way through this thread. I know you show only a little and that much, much more is going on behind the scenes. I can't believe I just cruised on past this thread without ever clicking on it. I haven't had much time on the forums lately and when I am on, I'm waiting for my coffee water to boil in the morning so I'm barely awake.

Maybe I'm the one guy on this forum that got to touch, smell, watch your Protowax being applied right before my eyes, see the results of the application and the removal and witness the outstanding glow and gloss, all before ever knowing that you were working so hard behind the scenes to perfect something so special.

My hat is absolutely off to you with a tremendous amount of respect, for all the hard work you are doing, the sleepless nights thinking of something that might work better, all the research and testing and the way you are getting all the support along the way.

It was really nice hanging out with you guys at the NOVA Team Detailing Get Together (NTDGT)?? and getting to check out your wax in the prototype stages.

Man Son1c, you went from ProtoWax1 to ProtoWax30 in like two weeks, and it's been a month to get to 43, you are really slowing down! At this rate, it's going to take until 2017 to get me a jar of ProtoWax104 and the Sonic Saga wax (Triplets)...

all kidding aside, I know it is because you are about to perfect "your wax" ... so I commend you for having an idea, taking the initiative, and look at where you are today with your project. To think, two months ago, you were still buying waxes (even though you probably will in the future) but now you can be making waxes. If your wax sells, you can probably fit in the ranks with Bouncer and start competitive line. Great going, so far, from the reviews of the Northern Virginia meet, and Tuscadave, it seems like everyone who has used it has been impressed and rave about it. Hope you perfect your wax and are satisfied with whatever prototype you end up with.

I really appreciate this reply Dave, seriously it's incredibly touching and support makes all of the difference in this endeavor -- I got a bit watery eyed reading this, between this reply and having the great opportunity of meeting and working with you yesterday just the genuineness of you and of your post is truly touching
I also value the feedback on the wax and am glad to enjoyed working with it
I hope you can find time to make it out to the next detail event, also like to hear if the cobra showed up to your shop // how that went!
Also give Colt a hot dog for me!

I plan to brew several more within the next day or so which will push me towards 47 with the concoctions I have written down -- however I hope I can nail it sooner than later! Props to you for that input as that would be very cool! Definitely on the chalkboard!
I appreciate the support you've offered throughout this endeavor especially since at it's inception we weren't exactly BFF's lol
We will see! I have great admiration for Jay and his wax line

Also a question for you and others --> would you rather see another hard wax or a soft wax?

Either or, as long as its a kick a$$ product and meets all of your specifications.

Kinda something to be said for the oldschool paste wax, yet i prefer the ease of 845!

So either is good.

Great work, as always

Update 17

Although coverage has slowed down, I've been pouring all of my spare time into this, I've had a few samples spread out and JSou has been offering immense input, I've gotten feedback from 10+ over the last week and am reentering the Waxatory soon with some new alterations

I am proud to announce this wax works in direct sunlight on steaming panels

I have some plans for a larger scale of sample send out as well, so stay tuned for that

Believe this or not but it's advanced so far I've created two recipes in my sleep! lol

I've had plans for a hard wax, however based on a lot of recent feedback I'll be trying some alterations of ProtoWax 38 which was my first successful soft paste wax

Enough talk, check out some recent results! All vehicles are sporting Son1c Wax ProtoWax --
Sonic Blue Mustang ProtoWax 43
Black Mustang ProtoWax 43
Elantra ProtoWax 36 37 38
Eclipse ProtoWax 36 37 38
Burgundy ProtoWax 36 37 38
The differences between 36-38 are essentially variations of the wax consistency as opposed to performance, Users applied all three to give me feedback on each of them vs the others on texture, smell, color, application, buff off, etc

wow the finish is so clear on the passengers side door on the black eclipse you can see the orange peel in the reflection!

:urtheman: S O N 1 C!

Very nice my man! What are your goals with this wax as far as marketing? Are you trying to get it widely known/available as compared to dodo or some of the other hand made uk waxes?

I know how tough building something that you believe in can be, especially if people with less fortitude than you are saying it's crazy or you'll never do it. Anything I can do to support you I will.

The guy with the Cobra Terminator woke up early this morning, all ready to hit the road and looked outside to see rain. The poor guy's getting frustrated. We'll get it up here one of these days.

I'd really like to make the next meet. It'd really be cool if I could find a sitter for Colt so I can engage in the actual turnaround and get a little deeper into the Rupes Team.

I said that Eclipse looked fantastic as those clouds were rolling in right before I left. Those shots you got of it under those trees are simply stunning!!

Sick, Drew. Im impressed. Truly. The pics are stunning.

Waiting for my sample pot haha!

Keep up the hard work - your dedication is showing though!

Sent from my VS840 4G using AG Online

gotta admit, ima bit jealous of all you VA guys who met up with drew and test his prototype #43.

My bro lives in fairfax, i should have made him shake his a$$ over there to get me a ninja sample..
