Which glaze fills best?

If you buy both doesnt it add up to the cost of CG? Also check around, many sites have Glossworkz cheaper and AG will price match.

As far as I know, Liquid Ebony is still being made, is another player in the game, but it is not sold here. Common places to find this product would be auto paint supply shops.

I've never tried Prima Amigo, I'm told it is a fantastic product. As I understand it, Amigo also has a fine abrasive polish in it.

I believe products like Poor Boys Black Hole, and White Diamond Glazes do not.

I have tried the PB's Black Hole, superb product IMO, super easy to use, and I liked the results. Keep in mind, Black Hole is intended for darker finishes, whereas the White Diamond is for lighter ones.

Do it! It would be a good comparison.

Did someone purchase the Liquid Ebony formula from Kleen Brite Labs a few years ago when it went out of business?
Is that someone now bottling it...and putting it on the market for sale?

The closest products I've seen to come close to Liquid Ebony are:

-3M Perfect-It II Foam Polishing Pad Glaze-Dark (39009)
-Detail Plus "Black Beauty"

This question was on my mind as well. I'm almost never able to wax or seal a customers car due to fresh paint. Body shop common practice is compound, polish, machine or hand glaze. My go to glaze has been 3M hand glaze for years and I've compared it side by side to Meg's products and and a few others and intial clarity filling and shine has always gone to 3M though the hold out of the shine and filling I can't say. Just a few days ago I side by side compared 3m, CG gloss works and CG ez cream. The CG had almost no change what so ever and what little improvements were made were gone in about two days. 3m was night and day difference after polish and especially stood out after the CG packed up and went home. Would still love to replace 3m hand glaze if there is a better product, hince the comparison and wast of money on the experiment. Looks like I have a few more to try and hope this helps someone as well.

Water, hydrotreated heavy naphtha,(petroleum)medium aliphatic solvent naphtha, white mineral oil(petroleum) aluminum silicate, castor oil, glycerin. As the label reads. Probably a proprietary blend in there as well. So plenty of oil and solvent and the aluminum silicate which I'm guessing is the mild abrasive. Ive used it to get mild overspray off... Not sure if those ingredients qualify as a cleaner but it seems to clean without damaging.

Well guys i just placed the order
-Poorboys Black Hole Show Glaze
-Prima Amigo Pre Wax Cleanser and Gloss Enhanser
-Carpro So2Pure Air Purifying Coating

Gosh i really have to stop buying!! Damn this addiction is killing me! :D

I recently bought CG Glossworkz but I've got no idea how to use it. Does it go on before a wax or sealant application? Can I use it at the end of a maintenance wash?

after wash before wax or sealant via machine or hand

Getting back to the original post, I use Amigo and Black Hole. Both are great products. The thing is, you wanted a glaze because you didn't want to keep polishing your paint (abrasives).

Amigo has abrasives, Black Hole does not. So one meets your criteria, one does not. However, the abrasives in Amigo are very mild. Amigo is the ultimate paint cleaner and glaze product.

Sorry bringing this up again about Liquid Ebony. I was not aware the company that made it went out of business. How long has this been?

I assumed it was still being made, since the local Auto Paint Supply Shop here in town had this product on their shelves. At least they did a few months back when I was there buying Masking Tape, and was browsing a bit.

It has to be close to 30 years since I used that product, as I more commonly used the 3M products instead. I cannot even recall by memory how it even was?

I think I remember at the shop, there was Liquid Ebony for both light, and dark finishes. Perhaps this was old stock? Things often don't move very fast in this town.

Is it worth buying?

It's been at least 10 years since they went out of business.

Been a long time since I had some, (or even seen any)...
but I probably had the last of my stock of Liquid Ebony last for about 15 years or so...

Don't know about its actual recommended shelf-life...

Buy all your local auto paint supplier has...

I'll take a couple of them off your hands if you do.
If for nothing else: "For old-times sake".

:)
