Sorry I could not attend last minute all. Had a voice over job that could not be missed.

I am glad everyone had fun and will make it next time! Can't wait to see before and Afters!

In for the pics. Sounds like a blast. Great job on setting up the meet Chris! :xyxthumbs:

Yeah that is all the pictures I took, so that's all I have. Hopefully others have and will upload more.

Nice to meet all that attended. Thanks again Christopher.Brown for organizing this meet and making it happen and AC in OC for asking your friend to let us use his place.

I'd also like to thank Autogeek for supplying us with some nice towels, samples and the detailing bags (1 of which I won from the raffle). Also, thank you Eco Touch for supplying us with many samples for us to try out.

Here are some pics of the bag I won from the raffle! Nice bag too.

First time ever winning a raffle.

so FINALLY the meet review:

** disclaimer our dedicated photographer didnt come so this may be lacking in before and after pix.. i pieced together what the attending members took

The Host of the venue had a 07 BMW 328i we worked on.

SO we decided to give it an overall thorough cleaning and correction because he intends to sell it soon.

BUT FIRST . . . .

WE would like to thank AutoGeek and Eco Touch with supplying us with products and towels to do the job. There was MORE than enough that everyone got to take home more than a few samples and their choice of towels.

there were more towels but a good deal were already being used when this picture was taken. Also here are the bags that were won in the raffles.

Many of the members had never tried EcoTouch products, so i was particularly excited for them to try the Waterless Wash Concentrate and the Tire Shine, amongst the others.

First up to bat was the engine bay. We experimented with a couple APC's and various scrub brushes.

Once we hosed this down we went to the wheels. Where a couple products were compared.

^ RMD was a big fan of the Mother's wheel and tire cleaner he paired with Wheelzntoyz mini da for tires.

^ Whereas I used my Megs D108 1:5 with water with a foaming sprayer on my tire

NEXT UP was the wash where we used Honeydew and ACinOC's foam gun.

but first there were a lot of bugs on the front bumper so Andrew used DP Road Kill along with the AG Scrub and polishing towel to remove those love bugs.

Then we Iron-X'ed the paint along with the rims

Then we agitated and rinsed and drove into the garage for a quick 6 man drying session then claying and nanoskining using EcoTouch Waterless Concentrate, UWWC, and Wet Diamind WW. Checking with the baggie test.

We stopped here to have lunch. WHICH WE GOT NO PIX OF!!!

IT WAS A FEAST!!!!

we had a 5lb tri tip, 3 lbs of grilled el pollo loco chicken, 5 lbs of carne asada and the fixings for tacos, and my homemade baked beans which could have fed 15. SO while everyone was finishing the correcting I was cooking the tri tip and carne asada, while warming the beans and cutting the onions and cilantro for the tacos.

After lunch

Next the car was split into 4 sections and anyone who wanted to got to play with either a bigfoot rupes, flex v3401, a DA, or Rotary. Then those on paint used M101 and then 205 for medium correction.

^Wheelzntoys polishing

^ THe Blob and Art correcting side by side for a 50/50

Afterward everyone decided to throw on glossworkz glaze before we put on Blackfire Ice that AGO sent us!

Look who stopped by to supervise in Mike Phillips stead:

While this was going on ACinOC and I were doin interior work and sweating like crazy with mostly closed doors. Inside we used Eco Touch APC and the Leather Care to handle business.

Then everyone went back to their exterior panel and applied Blackfire Black Ice

then clean up and admired our finished work..

Thanks again to AGO and EcoTouch for donating so many products for the So Cal geek to test and take home

:dblthumb2:

AND OF COURSE..... thanks to all the geeks who came out and made it a fun and successful so cal event.

and also Albert used the steamer to loosen up gum from the carpet before he used his Pro heat to clean the mats

It was a lot of fun, what are the odds to have two SON1C Protowaxes in the same garage?

The food!! I wanted to bring some home, especially those baked beans with bacon, the tri tip and marinated carne asada freshly grilled! Please pass us the baked bean recipe.:hungry:

It was my first time trying out the Flex 3401, what a machine with the Hybrid pads. I forgot to try out the Rupes 21 with 5.5" pads, I need to switch out my BP.

Black Ice looks great on silver, don't be shy to use it on light color cars.

Things I learned, get a Bissel extractor and a steam machine; Flex3401 is a great machine; not sure if everybody liked the Dodo Fin pads (product sling); Ecotouch has a nice tire shine - can't wait to try the rest of the Ecotouch samples; Dlux leaves a great trim finish.

I'm a weekend hobbyist detailer so it was fun to see other techniques and meet others with the same passion of cleaning cars, it was a humbling and fun experience

Watch out if Art is around a swirled car:buffing: He'll be ready with the rotary to knock them out. Rotary is the area I need to practice.
