I'm in need of a glaze and for the life of me can't make up my mind.
Hoping I can get some help here.

What glaze do you use and why?

I appricate any feed back I get.

May go with the glaze with the most votes so to speak:)

Thanks In Advance

What do you need to do to your paint?

Throwing a wrench into the works:
-Is this sought-after-glaze for a vehicle that has a SS, or BC/CC, paint system?
-How old of a vehicle is it?
-A DD or Garage-Queen?
-'Til now: How has it been "cared for"?

Thanks.

:)

Bob

It's black, SS paint, four years old.
Looking for something that will give me added shine after polishing and before I put my wax.

It's a DD but babied, I wash it twice a week and RW in between.
I want gold:xyxthumbs:

It's for my lovely wife:)

Btw. I use Groit's Paint Sealant and Meg's NXT.

This is how it looks now.

It's well taken care of but want a glaze to help maintain the shine and to use after hand washing.

Why is it SS paint? Seems kinda new to not have a CC.

As far as glazes go, try Poorboys Black Hole or Prima Amigo. I just got mine recently and will be doing a comparison as soon as my car is back from the shop :D

Poor boys blackhole glaze works wonders for me on black cars. Good luck

Toyota doesn't use CC on most of their solid blacks.
You're right it's not old.

Wet Glaze 2.0 is the best glaze I have ever used, but you can't get it anymore. I am going to switch to Obsessive Detail Wet Shine Glaze.

I have CG Glossworkz too, but haven't tried it yet.

I love CG'S and looking at Glossworkz.
You and one other bought it.

Do you know if it's easy easy off?

Poorboys has been mentioned here twice also.

That paint looks sick IMO. You just need a good sealant and some wax and she's good to go. My vote for glaze goes to Chemical Guys Glossworkz. It self levels and will not cake up your pads. It's pricey but it works so well.
Your paint looks flawless from the pics. You may like CG Wet Mirror looks amazing on black cars.

Yeah the paint is flawless, I sealed it with Griot's Paint Sealant.
I have a few products from CG'S and happy with all of them.
They also sell EZ Cream, any thoughts?

if you wanna amp up the shine a tad more, then maybe prima amigo suits you better. To me its just like poorboys black hole, but it acts like a super fine polish as well. Meaning the glaze+superfine polish aspect of it would perhaps work better for you than a straight glaze. Just my thoughts on this topic agian lol

I would go glossworkz or wet mirror first. Both are easy to work with. I would not use Black Light. It is an excellent product and lives up to the hype but it does contain abrasives and is a little more like an AIO so you don't want to put any abrasives on that pristine paint.

I'm not a huge glaze fan just because of history. They back fill minor imperfections. In the past the fillers that did not sit in a defect buffed off and left filler dust everywhere.
That is not the case anymore. The technology is so new that fillers self level and no dusting residue.

As far as Poorboy's. They do make great products. It's rare you find an entire line of products that can be used in direct sun. The Black Hole glaze does have cleaning agents in it which I do not think you need. Again introducing something to your paint you do not need is additional cleaning. The other thing is I have never bought into the "color specific" product. I think it's just a gimmick. In terms of Blackhole I can tell you with being almost certain the main glaze/filler/wax is montan wax which is made from processing coal and is dark brown or black in color. It is also used in bleached form in Nuba waxes to make the wax more spreadable and easier to apply since it's character behaves like a softer version of nuba. So Montan wax that's your specifically formulated for dark color cars. You could put it on black paint or silver paint following the directions buff it off and it would not have any effect on the silver paint.

Just used some Glossworkz Glaze today with a LC black pad. Great results !!!! I topped with an old fav. 4 Star UPP :)

Great points you made here , thanks for explaining it so well:xyxthumbs:

Glossworkz it will be. Im the MAN
