kevin, you're off to a good start. You have the passion and desire to keep your car looking great. Now it's up to us fellow AutoGeeks to give a little bit of guidance.
Two bucket method - Excellent.
Wash Shampoo - Meg's Gold Class is one of the best on the market. Great cleaning ability, slick, smells great, $8.99 at Walmart USA is a fantastic price. For me in Canada it's $20.

Throw your Zip Wax away.
Spray Wax - I see you're using this in addition to regular wax. Extra protection is a good thing. If you were just using a spray wax I would be concerned about protection and durability. Unfortunately I've never used any Turtle Wax Ice products so I can't comment any further.
I can't comment on the other products (Zwipes, Absorber, etc) because I've never used them.
Now, you asked about changing your methods. Here's what I'd recommend:
Grit Guards - Put one of each into the bottom of your wash buckets. It'll keep the dirt at the bottom of the buckets and keep it from recirculating into your wash soap.
Autogeek Store - Grit Guard
Wash Mitt - I haven't used that particular brand of mitt, but I'm concerned about the part that says "faux wool". If you're going to use a synthetic fabric to wash your car with, microfiber is the way to go. I'd recommend Meguiars' mitt because it's inexpensive, good quality and can be found at most automotive stores. In case you can't find it locally, here's the link on Autogeek:
Meguiars X3002 Microfiber Wash Mitt
Drying Towel - Once again, microfiber is your friend. Specifically you want a waffle weave towel because they're soft, machine washable and guzzle a lot of water. Coincidentally (or not), I'm recommending the
Cobra Guzzler towel. I've used a few drying towels and the Guzzler cannot be beat.
Spray Wax - There probably isn't anything wrong with your Turtle Wax spray wax. I just can't resist plugging one of my favourite detailing products, Duragloss Aquawax. After rinsing the soap off your car, spray Aquawax and dry with your new Guzzler towel. It provides a nice gloss, incredibly easy to use and smells great. I like it so much I just bought a gallon.
Duragloss Aquawax (AW) #951
Glass - You didn't mention what glass cleaner you use, so I'll take this opportunity and recommend
Invisible Glass. Simply put, it's the best glass cleaner available. Up here in Canada I've seen it at Walmart and Home Depot so I imagine it would be at those same stores in the USA.
Good luck and welcome to AutoGeek. :dblthumb2:
