Ate this damage today on a curb avoiding an accident. Assuming I can do this myself or should I take it to a shop? This wheel is no longer produced by OZ in gloss black but this should be ok to repair I'd imagine. I've had a hard time in the past getting wheel curb marks sanded smooth by...
Doesn't look like he towel dried the panels either, but he may have had less water on the doors than I did. I'll try it again some other time when the car is cleaned, already have dust layers on the doors from driving it the day after.
As a follow up to this thread, I used the 3M 38983 this weekend. Process was completely washed the panel with optimum wash and wool mitt, sprayed the soap off then sprayed the entire door top to bottom with the 3M very thoroughly, I sprayed enough to cover every inch of the panel. I didn't dry...
I noticed the same thing yesterday watching videos on bead maker.. multiple detailers would cover the entire surface so every spot was visibly wet with spray
I cue'ed up the start times so you can tell me how wrong it looks.. or maybe that's just how spray waxes get put on now?
Washing and...
Just got the backorder notice for AG 951, was thinking I could replace it with something comparable to get the items shipped out so I don't wait 7-10 days. I've been using DG 951 for maybe 10 years now and curious if there are any comparable products in the autogeek shop that I have not paid...
I wonder what makes this one so much less popular. 3M Adhesive and Wax Remover, tree sap remover, glue remover, silicone remover, auto cleaner, remove glue
autogeek has the link listed as a tree sap remover, but the can of course claims it does everything else too.
I'm going to try the 38983...
Would you say 3M GPAR works the same as Tar X or better? I should be able to find that locally a bit easier. Although I'm coming across alot of '3m general purpose adhesive cleaner' which seems slightly more common than the remover. I wonder if that is a different product or just a branding...
I took a look in the webstore and it seems like Car Pro is the most expensive at $16, is it using a special chemical composition that the other ones are not ?
Bug and tar removers: Remove tree sap, bugs, tar, and overspray with bug and tar removers, bug remover, detailing clay, overspray clay...
Around last October I did M105/ orange pad and sealed with Poorboy's EX. I had tar spots all over, up and down the lower half of all four doors. I ended up spending maybe 6-8 hours removing each one by hand with a claybar before I got into the polishing. I invested the time to do it the right...
As the title says I haven't really been buying new LSP products for quite some time now. I'm out of the loop on the new technology. I have used Poorboys EX or Collinite 845 with success since the hayday of their popularity. Are there any newer sealants that I should take a look at that are...
Since this car is only 2 years old with 20k miles, I didn't want to get too crazy right before winter by hitting it with a 2-3 stage polish process. I decided to leave it at just M105 with Orange Pad. Results came out pretty decent although the metallic does hide swirls well. There's of...
What would show on the pad to indicate it is no longer usable until I can get it washed?
Which polishes should I match to those pads? I can get more pads and the Iron-x but not gonna go $200 deep on new products anytime soon. I think these can do well enough for now and then I'll look into the...
