I talk directly to the service team that will touch my car or truck and let them know my concerns, washing, hands on the paint, etc.. No guarantee, but I like to build bridges.
My suggestion is to start offering some of these new services and then start weighing the pros and cons of...how much time to complete tasks? how much space is needed to park the vehicle for that duration? cost and profit margin? and so on.

Most body shops I have worked in and hot rod shops I have been around will recommend wet sanding over dry sanding... for a higher gloss in the end. Again, this conversation could go on for days but this is what I have seen.
